I had that feeling we would lose and pretty heavily - I went for 3-1 , TB's are no mugs and seems we could not respond second half.

League is the priority - promotion is a must - over to you Stu and Jakes - get it sorted.

not seen the team but i guessed we'd lose hand on heart but not so heavily. hope the lads don't take it top heart, leave us fans to do that instead. why are we so crap in derby games?

and why do we fail so miserably in cup games - seems years since we had any decent results in competitions
The TB's will be like cheshire cats tonight :-(
Macclesfield beat Blackpool tonight 2-0 (i think) so will be a big game for us on Sat - must be looking to go there and win to get this fekin result out of the way

ha yeah, there's a good reason for our **** efforts in the cup, we save it up so we excel in the league. i don't see how this can't have anything other than a negative effect? you should always go out to win every game, to be fair we probably did but are just no where near good enough yet. i need no excuse for a dram but i'm ****ing depressed about this tbh

fekin hell me too - a JDaniels or 2 i reckon ;-(

Just hope the fans don't get on Bouldings back - he's short of match fitness that is clear - and had no real pre season as such - still time is on his side.

hoping to get a decent fans view report on here. has been a good day though as our lass is getting out of hospital tomorrow so when i jumped in the car, heard half time score was 0-0 i kind of guessed things would then go down hill. on the cheap bell's blended i'm afraid!

1st half very tight. If city had played with 2 forwards instead of Conlon (back to useless old self tonight) & Boulding then we may have got something out of it. Game was over as soon as they scored 2 minutes into the 2nd half. Can't remember a city chance on goal in the 2nd half. The sub of taking 2 forwards off and bring TJ (rightback) & Thorne was a strange decision by the City bench.

Apart from that it was my little lad's (6) 1st away match and I guess his last after the trouble getting out of the ground and the Town idiots waiting outside!

Did Daley go upfront then with Thorne?

That's what I thought what happened.

Boulding and Baz went off.

TJ Hooker and Thorne on. I presumed Daley played along Thorne

Yup, Daley went up front. Thorne added a bit of class but it was over by then.

Brilliant City crowd, not that many puppies turned up.

Thorne and Boulding to start on Sat I reckon - 40 goals between them last season.

That was the point Wisey - other teams raise there game against higher opposition when have City this decade in the cup not often if at all. If teams like Barnsleycan see off Liverpool and Chelsee - surely we could see a div 1 team lal Tranmere or the DBs.

Conlon - not at the races - out of his depth treied his best all first half to give the ball and set up scoring moves for them - second goal he managed it. Though it was like watching the red sea part watchingb the defenders.
As some said pre season if Stuart wants a player to worry big defenders and be able to get beyond - then Conlon is not the answer

Team another poor second half performance - two games now and how many last season?

Where were the leaders on the pitch we were promised fron Stuart - after going the goal down.

Daley too cannot be relied to be a match winner - Stuart look at some other tactics.

The right back postion - Arnison better with the ball than Williams yes - but looks to be an inferior defender - a big improvement required.

Second game running a cross from the right a team scored (deja vu from last season) - it undid us last night!!

Aagin we had the inability to get behind the defence on enough occassionsand when we did not enough presence or bodies in the box. Yes I am talking 08/09 season not 07/08, 06/07..........

For me Topp playing just behind Boulding should have been tried. Moncur sitting in front of the back four. We made it easy for Stan's planning - lining up with the same formation as Saturday - as he would have had us watched!

Yes it was only a cup game yes it was only the second game - but the numbers that turned out in poor weather deserve more. If this is the team to take us to two promotions - it is a long way off at the moment.

We can now concentrate on the league and JP trophy!

No midfield tonight - Bullock and McClaren were none existant, Daley and Nix didn't do fook all either - Boulding ran his socks off and i like the fella but Conlon was absolutely fookin useless, only positives i take is that Clarke and Lee look like an excellent partnership (altho you wouldn't have thought so by the scoreline) - Lee in particular looks a class above.....
