Why the f*** did people hurl abuse at Macc today at Barry Conlon when he was warming up on the touchine? Why the F*** is he made the scapegoat of every poor perfromance we have.

Well i have got news for ya boys, every player was crap against Hudders on Tuesday night. Not only Baz. You lot really piss me off. If you are coming to the games do us all a favour and SUPPORT YOUR TEAM. If you're just going to slag off your own players, then piss off into the other end of the stadium, you tossers.....

Anyway now i have got that off my chest, a really solid display today boys, well done, i just wish we could kill teams off instead of making it difficult for ourselves, we should have had at least a 4-0 today. That said the defence was firm, Graham Lee clearly the signing of the summer up to now. Absolutley brilliant. Mick Boulding looking sharper aswell. Big test vs Rochdale next week i reckon they are one of the stronger teams in this league.

I can't understand the mentality of people like that either - you can bet they would say fek all face to face - we've always had our share of arsehole fans at VP - even in the 84/85 season when we won the 3rd Div I recall some booing and verbals at certain players.

It seems Barry just gets picked on becuase he's an easy target, big bald and Oirish. He does a good job for the team, a league two version of Kevin Davies .... city fans just don't seem to know enough about football to see the job he does.

Big Baz gives the team so much when he's on the pitch, both in attack and defence. He's come back this year fitter than we've ever seen him.

If these pricks can't see that they want their heads feeling.

I hope Stu keeps him after xmas cos even if he's on the bench every Sat he can come on and change the game.

Im obviously one of these people who needs their 'heads feeling' but I just fail to see what a 6 foot 3 inch lad offers to the team if he can't bleeding head a ball. :confused:

Someone really needs to enlighten me as to what exactly Barry brings to the team because imo all this battering ram nonsense is a myth. If he isnt favourite to win an ariel ball then 9/10 there isnt even an attempt to jump and up go the hands asking for a foul. Even when he does eventually win a ball they invariably are flicked on more in hope than anything else.

Everyone bangs on about needing a target man in this division but surely the extra quality, movement and pace is a better option? Providing Thorne stays fit then if needed he can perform the target man role when required in certain periods of the game, at least he can pick out a teammate when getting his head to the ball.

To answer the original point though, booing ANY city player, especially in a warm up, imo is wrong.

Aye i agree, like you say booing your own players is wrong which is why we should be behind them all the time crap or not! Us giving them abuse won't really help!

He has looked poor and quite shaky to be honest but its far too early to judge a player who is new to the squad.

All Maccs decent play came down our right side again so maybe it wasn't just the fact he had Daley in front of him as was the excuse made against County and Town.
