Rochdale game - my ratings

Evans 8 - kept busy but did really well with crosses and 2 smart saves
Arnison 6 - struggled 1st half, better in 2nd but far too much space given away
Hecky 7 - got forward well and strong defending
Clarke 8 - tower of strength at the back
Lee 7 - another great display
McLaren 6 - took a knock and was struggling then
Bullock 6 - needs to get involved more, droppng deep too often
Daley 8.5 - man of the match again - pace terrifies oppo players and defended well too
Colbeck 7 - good game overall, just the second ball given away too often
Thorne 7 - veteran shows class again
Boulding 7 - off the mark - great goal - loads more to come, unlucky hitting the post

Nix 6 - busy as ever but left gaps in midfield by drifting out wide
Moncur - 6 - could be real asset if w can sign him on permnant deal in Jan
Conlon - 6 - played his part and causes problems for opposing defenders

Hecks is becoming his old self and looked awesome today!! Getting forward and defending!

I thought Clarke was superb, particulary in the first half with some great last ditch tackles. Daley played well but he always seems to make the wrong decision in the final 1/3 (passing when he should take them on, and trying to take them on when he should pass). I thought Hecky had one of his best games in a city shirt too! Evans was solid again!

Happy days..Early doors yet but welcome none the less.. Let's hope the signings and the guys from last year can keep this going..
