3. Hecky - great to see him get forward 8.5, best game in a long while
4. McClaren. disappointing 6
5. Lee - In command 7.5
6. Clarke - the better of the CB 8
7. Daley - great first half 8.5 possible MOTM

Daley 8.5?? lol
He was ok.... what he did in the 1st half was genius! backheeled it out of play ??
then missed a 1 on 1 firing straight at the keeper.
Then moments later gives it away edge of box after doing too much with both strikers running through screaming for the balll.....
2nd half played well taking pressure away from defence!!
10/10 for wasting time in front of teh kop!

Mention his bad moments but don't mention the fact he gets past his players with ease, deffensivly he was great, tested there keeper which he easily could of spilled. When he tried backheeling it he tried kicking it agaisnt them but some of the skill he displayed today was class.
He's becomming a great player and im glad i've always had faith in him.
Agree on the souldnt of got an 8.5 rating though..
..Probs a 8.6jump:

I like Daley but he was nowt spesh today. Maybe it's because he was tracking back more. I still reckon he's wasted on the left as he shows too much of the ball on the inside on his right foot when he's running with it and it makes it about 10 times easier for him to be tackled. A few good bursts, a few good lay offs, a few shots, it wasn't his worst game but not his best either. Having said that he was the best of the midfield today.
Thorne and the two centre backs were more worthy recipients in my opinion.

Clarke may have been named man of the match and did have a great game, but in my opinion Graeme Lee was absolutely superb. He is everything that Wetherall hasn't been since he lost his legs 5 years ago.

Absolutely spot on. Lee has been the pick of the summer signings so far. He reads the game superbly and Clarke looks much more assured alongside him than he ever did with Mr. Undroppable (Legend PMSL) Wetherall. I always thought the Bower - Wetherall partnership was totally over rated but Clarke and Lee looks very strong.

The defence looked strong and confident yesterday against a good Dale side. Only gripe is he left McLaren on too long. It was obvious he was struggling. Thorne & Boulding look promising together up front

Let's hope Brandon gets over his injury problem as he's needed on the bench at least and to push Bullock and McLaren.

great win for city, assuming dale are at least as good as last season we've obviously taken a big strdie forward! gald to see omar is playing well as i did my fair share of slagging off his lazy tendencies last season. early days but we are showing we are solid at the back which if we can get that right everything else will hoepfully fall into place. great to see boulding get on the scoresheet too.

To be honest i thought they were appalling! They wouldnt have scored if we were still playing now! Not bad build up but they couldn't finish!

Like last season they are the best side at keeping possesion and passing the ball in the division and are no mugs.
I was surprised however how toothless they looked even with the deadly Dagnall, maybe we caught them on a bad day?
Im sure whoever finishes above Dale will get promoted.

Dale are a very good footballing side and keep the ball well - their goal attempts totalled 10 with none on target, ours were 9 with 6 of those on target including the 2 goals - we deserved the win for the finishing quality alone - possession wise we had 53 % of play against 47% for them - never felt like it on Sat though lol!

Rochdale will be above us come the end of the season, you can tell that, like the MkDonalds, that their off the ball movement was very good. Once they learn how to score they will be a real force in L2...
They hit the bar twice and were it not for defenders putting themselves on the line and putting their heads "in where the boots were flying" [copyright], which is a real plus especially as both CBs have come back from significant injuries recently...
Defensiveley we were very good, think Arnison is getting a bad press and had a much improved and much better game.....
Thought Nix did well when he came on and Thorne and Boulding look like being the best partnership in L2 if they stay fit....
