...the ones we already had IMO
Heckingbottom, very solid defensively and looked really god going forward
Bullock, is absoloute class in midfield and does a lot of un noticed donkey work and setting up wingers
Thorne, 5 of our 6 goals in just 3 games, the other he set up - enough said
and Daley, has looked much improved and much more consistent going forward and tracking back and looks like a very positive attacking outlet - needs to score but is getting closer

Lee has made a better start than all of them except Thorne! I think he has been solid at the back, he is like a rock!
I also think Mclaren has been alot better than Bullock in midfield. Mclaren is so calm on the ball, keeps possesion well and releases the ball well taking pressure off us!

I agree with Poulton, Graham Lee has been superb so far. I'd even say he's done better than Thorne.

If the hard work is done well in the engine room, the midfield and defence, everything else falls into place and the attack looks and performs better.I like what I've read on here about Lee. Sounds good to me.Quite often a guy who does the basics well in a tidy way does not get noticed as much as a flashier but less productive player.Cheers

From what I have heard listening to the games on the radio and on here, all I can do from Australia, it sounds like all have had a good start, with the exception of Arnison.
That said, Arnison has been up against 2 of the quicker, trickier wingers in the league already, so it was always going to be a struggle.
I personally have been impressed with the reports on Lee and Omar - if he has now added a defensive part to his game, which it sounded like he had v Rochdale, then he is getting closer to a complete package as a winger - all he needs now is to learn how to hit a barndoor when shooting.

Arnison will know he has to up his game as we have TJ Moncur sitting waiting on the bench.

Only seen 1 league game due to hols but i was very impressed with the defence as a whole and the promise of a good partnership between Thorne & Boulding.
Our squad has better quality in depth and Macca is still looking to strengthen further.

I'v been unimpressed with the midfield pairing of McCaren & Bullock, its early days and hopefully they will improve but they have yet to stamp their authority on a game. On saturday they were bossed from start to finish by the Rochdale midfield.
I expected great things from McClaren and fingers crossed they'll come - but on Saturday he was a passenger, i'll give him the B.O.D for the 'injury' he had but he needs to pick his game up 100%.

Iv had this kind of debate with my mate since the start of the season, I rate Mclaren so far, he doesn't. We did see less of him against rochdale, but Thornes goal was down to Mclarens great ball in. and apparently he was injured?
