Silence + crowd noise - 1988 before all this showbiz crap started....

No.
However the classical dross played this season ranks as some of the worst. (and as for the cutting off of the chorus in hi ho silver lining that was naff in the 70s and is now just plain crass)
During the Nicky Law months we exited the field after a victory with the immortal "I fought the law and the law won".
Unfortunately due to the fact we hardly ever won at home during his tenure the airings of this classic were few and far between.

"Kumbaya" in the latter Jakes playing days.

Couldn't agree more tup:
The classical "Italian" music and both teams shaking hands before the game like they do in the Prem is embarrassing IMO.
Back In the day it was upto the fans to create an atmosphere, not some pub DJ!
I suppose some will like that **** but its not for me.

I often think that it would be nice to go out and sit in the stand, soak up the atmosphere & listen to the music - but more often than not i'm racing a pint down or having a piss in order to get out in time for KO!!

Couldn't agree more, it looks so much better when they run out from the corner, the whole shaking hands thing is crap.
My favourite was when they played rocking all over the world, cheesy but was a good song for two football teams to come on to the pitch to

One vision, by queen but can't remember which year? 2006/2007?
I like Sunderlands music before, dance of the knights or something?

Part of the problem is we change it too often. For me we had the A-team which was perfect, then someone decides to change it. The current line up is a complete mess and complete crap.
