Windass is a quality player, but his ego is bigger than the club, and at 39 would hardly be the most mobile player on the park. We need players with energy in that position, though his ability to pick a pass and his on-the-pitch intelligence would benefit the likes of Thorne.

However, Surely it would make more sense to use the loan wages on bringing in a centre half, just to shake things up at the back. That's where we seem to be lacking quality at the moment.

We have Moncur and Ainge who can play cd.

Why not shake it up a bit and give one of them a go?

True. Something has to give as we are shipping sloppy goals at an alarming rate at the moment, through the centre and also our inablity to deal with crosses or clear our lines. Clarke & Lee are playing like strangers at present. Their confidence has dipped and they are making very basic mistakes and seem to have lost their early season edge. :(

I would definitely be tempted to give Moncur a go in the centre, maybe for Clarke, once Arnison comes back in.

Thats what I was thinking, Moncur looked steady at cb last season and can pass the ball!.....Although I haven't being impressed with him at full back.

I can't understand how a defence that looked quite strong in the first few games now looks as leaky as Panters knickers? tdwn:

i was just talking to a fan now he said he was windass uncle he said
he's my uncle... he wont come back after getting death threats then he said this
no hes not!! lol, do you want me to ring him?
ok, give me 2 mins then he said this
McCall has asked for him on loan, hull said yes. Windass said no.
thinking a premiership class striker would want to touch shitty bradford he said.

It is baffling, especially as we have 2 very experienced ex-defenders on the coaching staff. They seemed to have clicked 3-4 games in, and now look on completely different wavelengths. There's just an obvious lack of togetherness.

I'm confident we'll turn this bad patch around and, as stated on other posts, we haven't lost any ground on the leaders - surely an indication of what an average league this is. However, maybe it's time to change things around slightly by dipping into the reserves. Isn't that the whole point of having a squad?

Surely windass made the death threats up??

Does anyone actually believe him??

Yeah I do actually

You seen some of our fans + Why would he just want to stir up trouble for himself and his family, I know he can be a prick but even that is too far for MR Windass

He did, But as she worked for the police it made her an easy target!? Easier to get his family out of there so that they had no trouble.

Our legendary hero Windass couldn't be arsed putting the effort* in when he was being played in midfield in the Championship (or whatever it was called) 5 years ago, so the chances of him doing it in this division are remote to say the least.

*OK he did once, when he felt he had a point to prove to Warnock against Sheff Utd, still managed to make a mess of it that day by getting himself sent off.

ok windass isn't getting a chance at hull but this is the club where his heart is at why would he leave in the position they are in? he is obviously a well liked player there by the fans so i don't see why even windass could be so stupid to leave there and risk the wrath of them as well. what would happen about his wages as well if he came back to VP??? we have a number of young hungry players in the reserves and imo they should be way ahead in the pecking order than a 39 year old relying on past credentials who was more than happy to leave us. it's water under the brdige we must move on good luck to him but personally i don't want him back at VP. obviously this rumour will have a number of folk creaming their pants though so enjoy
