Goal scoring hero - granted.
Has anyone else noted his motivational skills? If not check them out.
He really lays into Joe, when he tries something and it doesn't come off, and he doesn't appear to be too constructive about it. Joe went missing inside in the last 10-15 mins, and I think Thornio may have had something to do with it.
I remember how idiot Deano used to try to caoch Ben Muirhead and Ben seemed to thrive off of it. Thorne just seems to slag Joe off. During the Luton match he was trying to get Joes attention, but instead of shouting Joe, he just shouted Oi. It seems a little od to me when you consider the number of assists Joe has had in Thornes tally.
Northern mentioned something about a divide in the dressing room, I'm just starting to wonder whether there is sufficient room for Thornes ego?
What do you think?

May be Oi is the only way to get Joes attention -- JC should be listening to a guy with Thorneys experience

If Colbeck listened more and learned to cross better, Thorne would be on 20 already & Boulding not far behind. Crossing is Joes weak point sadly but he's young enough to improve

I think this comment could count for both wingers:p
As for PT, i noted he seemed to dish out a lot of verbal on the pitch,
Someone has to when your captain is having a nightmare at the backtdwn:
Its not just the manager or captains job to motivate the players, its a team game and i think thorne was justified at the finger pointing in yestardays game

I've noticed Thorne is quite vocal but I've seen him having abit of a go at a few players. It's good for experienced players, to use that experience to help the younger lads but it has to be done the right way!
One of the incidents I heard about also involved Colbeck, but that time it was he and Evans thet were really laying into each other during a match! This wasn't constructive critism, it was full on abuse and swearing at eachother!

Lee Holmes enjoyed Deano Deano Deano's motivational skills as well.

A problem I've noticed watching Colbeck is that he sometimes seems to think "job done" once he has done something well in a game, like the goal yesterday.
He was deserving of a kick up the backside yesterday because he seemed to be hiding a bit in the second half, when he should have been key to us stretching the game and running the ten men ragged.

he went inside when we had the ball, as he always does ffs! - needed to be out wide looking for the ball to stretch Gillingham - I would have taken him off and put Nix over there because he always gives 100% - something Colbeck did not do yesterday - hopefully McCall will have a quiet word of warning in his ear to stop the swaggering about.
