surely the man at Hull we should be looking at is Nathan Doyle - not Deano?

Fair enough Deano is a legend and would add to our squad, but Doyle could be just what we need in the middle of the park.
He's getting less of a look-in at Hull than Deano and though L2 would be well within him there's nothing like being in a promotion team to get going again.

Peter Thorne - Played 42 Goals 23 (Goal every 1.83 games).

Dean Windass - Played 216 Goals 76 (Goal every 2.84 games).

Thorne's looking good although Deano was at a higher level.

I'm pretty sure Windass has played more games than that and scored more goals, I think he scored about 85 goals for us!

Where's BOTO when you need him? :D

Deano's got 88 for us by my reckoning - i might be wrong though...

99-00 City top score with 10 goals
00-01 City top scorer with 10 goals
01-02 8 goals
04-05 top scorer with 28
05-06 top scorer with 20
06-07 top scorer with 12

Also, one of the seasons in the Prem, he was top scorer, from centre midfield , and he didn't play the whole season. So the comparison is a bit warped. Both great strikers for us. I think they'd be awesome together.

Don't blame me, blame Wiki!!! :D

They might just be FA Cup and League goals?!

Still rather have Thorne though cos he's not a ****!! tup:

Who knows? He still looked ****-hot towards the end of last year in the Championship for Hull!!

Personally i think he'd be a top quality signing and would slot in nicely in the holding position of Midfield!!

If I remember correctly didn't he also get at least a couple in our promotion season?

I certainly remember him bagging one away at Bury, hisaway debut I believe

IMO, Deano would definately add to our current team, probably replacing Bullock as the attacking midfielder and moving upfront in the event of injury to Thorne/Boulding. I also think he would provide the on field leadership which is sadly lacking at the moment.

Would I want him back though - Nah!!!!

We can still do enough to get out of this division with what we currently have on the pitch/bench.

Windass, thanks for the memories but it's time to move on.
