New method for goal scoring??

The one ball in the back of the net = 1 goal has gone past it's sell by date IMHO.

How about a new scoring method, eg

score from outside the penalty box = 3 goals
score from inside the penalty box = 2 goals
score from a penalty = 1 goal.

Any thoughts??

I think the essence of footy is it's simplicity - get a group of blokes together in an open space and they'll start playing footy.
