...Where would you prefer us to play?
Following on from the Rotherham thread, if City couldn't pay the 300k p/a ground rent for VP next year, where would you prefer City to play temporarily until we got back to VP or a new stadium?
I'd opt for Odsal, just because its in Bradford and wouldn't feel comfortable playing at the other venues in the poll.
Thoughts?

Parrot, it won't happen anyway. The Rotherham situation is different.
But it would have to be Odsal for me, it's closer and saves Dave driving, we can crawl through Wibsey to get to the Crown for post match shandies! ;)

It pretty much is! What's he going to do with it if he does kick us out? The land VP is built on cannot be used for anything other than it is now. He can't knock it down and build flats or anything! It'll just end up being a giant white elephant if he ever decided to give us the boot!
What else is he going to do with it? Loan it to Bradford PA so they don't have to build their new 20,000 seater stadium?

MMMmm....what short memories some of us have!
Odsal was been touted as our new home back in admin 1 remember?
I dont think it would happen myself, both parties have too much to lose but with the relationship between the two not exactly a marriage made in heaven, its hardly beyond the realms of possibility is it?
Im sure many Rotherham fans would have scoffed at the idea of playing at the Don Valley a few years back when work started on the "new stand" at Millmoor! ;)

If we played home games at St.James's park Newcastle i could watch the home games and still get home in time for tea. Stop for a couple of shandies in Gosforth on the back and Bobs your uncle.

Read what I wrote Mr. P, I'm saying Gibb wouldn't chuck us out as he can't afford to, not that we'll never move of our own accord! What the club thinking about moving to Odsal during admin 1 has to do with Gibb and your original question I don't know!

You dismissed the possibility of a move to Odsal...I mentioned that it was discussed during admin 1.
Im sure Gibb could easily stand to bare losing 300k from his pension fund if things turned nasty and he wanted to make some sort of stand.
How much time, effort and money would It cost BCFC to relocate for a couple of seasons?
I bet Gibb wouldn't be the big loser if such a scenario happened!

Gibb is the front for the pension fund, it's the trustees who make the decision and there are all sorts of complications now following the Maxwell affair. It isn't simply about the fall-out that he and Rhodes had, the other trustees I am sure are keen to ensure they get the rent to pay back the fund.
How did this get so bloody serious! :D

Yes your right you didn't mention Odsal, I apologise. ;)
However you still dismissed the possibility of us leaving VP and thats where I reminded you of the proposed move to Odsal during Admin 1. :)
I dont feel it will happen however, but its not beyond possibility if the relationship between Gibb and JR/Motormouth deteriorates even more in the future.
Judging by the poll results it looks like most City fans would want us to remain in Bradford rather than "slum it" at rivals grounds!tup:
