The 1st half was relatively poor with neither side showing, much attacking credentials. Both defenses seem a little slack. However, city managed to go in at half time 0 0. Not that Rotherham deserved to be leading either. Although, they had the better chances.
City were much improved the 2nd half and played some good stuff. Although Rotherham had there chances city defended well. You could see that the goals were going to come for city. I said to my self we will score soon, predicting we would score 2 -3 in the last 15 minuets.
Although City can play miles better they were deserved winners and a clean sheet is just brilliant. Goals from Luke O’Brien and Nicky Law saw Rotherham off. Michael Boulding had an off day, for some reason who is usually a very good player. I am sure he will be back. Thorne had his chances and looked fair. All in all it was a good performance but we all know we can play better and will. Sometimes you have to grind out a win rather than play excellent football all the time. That’s what a promotion chasseing team is all about.
The arrival of Barry Conlon improved city. Begining to think that myself must be a lucky omen atm, touch wood. That’s 2 away wins in a row as was at Grimsby, plus worn my new lucky green jumper at both games. Also our last home win. Altogether been to 8 away league games with Shipley Bantams over the last 2 seasons, lost 0.
So role on Tuesday night if we can win of which I am confident and improved performance, then things will be back on track. It would set us up for Saturdays FA cup game with Orient. Another, game that we can win. Going to but my neck on the line and say we will go unbeaten, during these games. Although a draw is ok , I predict 2 wins.
Come on City, however it was bluddy cold today and when we scored went like a raving Looney jump:tup:love::o:p:eek:;):D
Was ace to meet some of you on Coach your all ace thanks for a fun day.
