Last week i went to Buy my daughter her 1st season ticket for the remainder of the season in Bantams Bar only to be told by the Ticket office that they were no more Season tickets being sold for this year as they were too busy sorting out next years season tickets!!
When i explained that it was costing me £20 a game because i sit in Bantams Bar and that i needed to pay the £50 membership and then she would be free i was told it was tough!!!
Nice eh?
I'm moaning on here because i blanket emailed City with a complaint about it last week and as yet no-one has bothered to even acknowledge that i have complained & i think its disgusting!!
My full letter of compaint is.... http://www.beersblog.co.uk/2008/11/one-step-forward-and-two-back-for-city.html

the attitude sadly doesn't surprise me, ever since i joined this MB i periodically bang on about the total lack of PR at City towards the fans. If ML can get his picture in the paper the club will be seen to be doing something but otherwise it s a case of same old story.

It's been the same for years...tdwn:
People say a lot about Big Fat Geoffrey but when he was at the club I wrote many a letter and received personal replies from him in response to all of them.
He even sent me a replacement program free of charge after it got soaked in the Sunwin against L**ds.
The current regime could learn a lot from him.....apart from financial advice obviously!!

I have to say when Lawn first came in City did make an effort to respond to emails pretty quickly! I sent an email to the club at that time and got a response within 2 days, I also sent another one a month later and got a phone call from David Baldwin! tup:
Seems like they have given up now! tdwn:

To be fair to the club I've had no problems at all this season in communication with them and sorted out a problem over season ticket payments swiftly and was treated with respect.
I too would have been really peeved if I was told it was "tough" and to lump it - I doubt I would have walked away quietly - it's only a stones throw away from the 1911 club entrance where all the big hitters congregate - maybe give them a call directly and ask for this unfair situation to be sorted or make a trip to the 1911 club reception - demand your rights as a supporter - I'm with you on this one as loyal fans should not be treated like this.

Very strange. You'd have thought they'd be all over someone who wants to support the club. Hardly Manchester United. tdwn:

Shoddy way to treat 2 loyal season ticket holders who are trying to introduce a new lifelong fan. They should bend over backwards to get kids in....these are the fans of the future. I bet nobody here is surprised though are they?

That is ver bad PR from the club and just to be told its tough is out of order...
The ticket office is an absoloute shambles and its lucky they've got me hooked because if they hadnt, and it was any other part of the entertainment industry, i wouldnt have gone backtdwn:
This sounds like the pricing/ticketing policy this time, but generally their admin and logistics of it are an absoloute shambles, especially when you have specific requirements as i often do, going to away matches with my disabled sister
However last season we wanted to move our seats to Midland Road for the Lincoln and Hereford games, when we wanted to go to the next home game we found the they'd taken the wrong ticket out of our book and left the lincoln ticket in, so we couldnt get in. We went to the ticket office and they just handed us 2 vouchers for the gametup:tup: I was very impressed as knowing the ticket office i thought it would be a right ball ache.

Seriously, it's shocking, well not really as this is how it's always been. I assume you will get a call from Dave very soon and this will be resolved quickly. On a side note if they are busy with next year's then I assume we are going to get another Christmas present offer!

Beer, ring Julian ffs. Or write in to the T&A. It's ironic that they offer such **** PR at the time they are announcing the cheapest season tickets for decades!
Do we ever learn? Oh, just a quick thought, don't we have a Customer Liaison Manager at City? What's she doing about this kind of thing? Seems strange that on a matter where customer liaison is required you hear neither hide nor hair of the person employed to resolve such matters!

She was the first person i emailed (along with Lawn), its a disgrace tbh, false advertising on the website and terrible customer service & PR.
The club obviously think that it doesn't matter that they piss off individual fans like me - but how many like me will there be?
Already i'm thinking that because of this farce i'm not wasting my money on the cup game (that would of been £50), and they are refusing to take my £50 for our kids season ticket.......yet they have the cheek to put their hands out for money with 'Stuarts fighting fund' - it beggars belief'!tdwn:

Just wait until ML's next big scheme is let loose and his picture will be all over the T&A . Basic PR seems way down the list compared with a nice trip to Mexico, who gives a f**k about that or the chairman flipping burgers when the serious stuff surrounding getting future generations of fans hooked is ignored or the office staff can't be arsed trying to find out.

Fact is there not interested in fans that have been here all along and stuck with the team and the club, they just want a whole wave of new fans here for cheap tickets...
Completley agree about Mark Lawn, i presume we'll be seeing his pin striped suit, blonded hair and cheesy grin on the back of the T&A today

“I don’t think the prices of a season ticket next year will be the current £150, although we are looking at other incentives to make next year’s more accessible for fans.”
What does this mean? Presumably prices are going up but surely not another multibuy scheme....
I would have made it £100 all over the stadium and then announce about £170 at end of season and plug it now as a season ticket for fans that dont care what division we're playing in next season, League 1, League 2 or BSP...

More accessible? Direct debit schemes, buy now pay later......
They won't make a decision now on how much it will be later in the season as they need to know how many buy it for Christmas. As transparent as see-through glass!
