I'm working there the week after next. Hotels in the city are horribly expensive, so I am staying in the Rudolf Hess suite in Spandau.

If anyone has been to that area before I would appreciate any tips on good pubs or restaurants to visit as I don't fancy travelling back in to the city at night.

I've just spent over a week there but work kept me totally away from exploring in the slightest, so I'm sorry I can't help you much.

I had a nice meal at 12 Apostel near Savigny Platz, if that makes any difference?



I was out at the Messe area on the west of Berlin. M49 bus took me into town but I didn't see much.
