Anyone know a decent chilli recipe they can recommend.
I know most are roughly the same but just wondering if any had one in particular they like.
Cheers,
Mike

The best cheat is the Discovery Chilli Jartup:
Cook meat, add chilli powder then the sauce....job done:D
But i prefer to make from scratch with loads of garlic and fresh chillies:D

1 medium onion
hand full of mushrooms
3 cloves of garlic
1 small chilli pepper
small tin of chopped tomato
1 tin of kidney beans in chilli sauce, easy to get and essential
Pack of mince
Low heat, fry in a little oil,add chopped onion for 5 minutes, add mince cook until meat brown, using a sieve, drain the fat from the mixture then put back in pan
add sliced mushrooms, chopped garlic and chilli (deseeded) and cook for further 5 mins.
Add the tins and stir well, pinch of salt and black pepper, stir well and if you like add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and 1/2 tea spoon of coffee (not joking) sugar reduces the acid in the tomato and coffee strengthens the meat taste!
simmer for 35/40 minutes, stir occasionally
If to dry add a splash of water, if sloppy keep cooking until reduced....

May I suggest you add a couple of squares of dark chocolate towards the end. Just put them in a cup and and a little boiling water so it melts, then stir in. The sweetness of the chocolate counters some of the harshness of the chillie. It also makes the dish browner rather than red. Its what they do in Mexico I hear. Also agree a bit of cumin is nice touch.
