Have you tried Turmeric on its own?

Its ram......

Its used for the colouration it provides rather than taste....

It works fine assuming you fry or use sauce or oil in some way for cooking. I agree it doesn't work on a dry grill.

In addition to turmeric... Garlic and ginger are proven aids to a healthy digestif system and garlic in particular has many benifits not least in heart and circulation.
Chillis.. depending on the variety provide many more times the vitamin c than citrus fruits and is thought to help prevent bowel cancer.. although ones rectum may disagree.
Cumin is a natural anti-bacterian and corriander contains vitamins...
All in all, a couple of curries a week should benefit but just watch the ghee and animal fats.
I tend to make my own from scratch rather than risk a take-away.

Best way to tell if your favourite curry house does this is to take a woman with you. If she sits there chewing her food all night without swallowing, it's time to take your custom elsewhere.
