Hurricane season can be scary! We were on a cruise ship in Oct 2007 off the coast of South Carolina that caught the tail end of one which was bad enough. The previous weeks cruise had hit it full on and windows on the ship had been smashed by the waves :-(

If it's just the heat your after definitely go to Egypt. All inclusive hotels are around £20 per person per night and flights with jet2 to sharm are around £300 return. Taxi from airport to Na'ama bay is around £10.
There is also a pacha out there if you fancy going to party which was full of plenty of great looking woman of every nationality except British. Plus lots and lots of locals! I'd go there just to relax in the sun all day and ride the quads on the desert. tup:

Altho an excursion to Gozo really makes for a thrill.....:rolleyes:


In September for a hot, cheap holiday you can't beat the Canaries - hardly original or inspiring and just the type of holiday i want to avoid nowadays (into exploring and seeing different places rather than sunning it and boozing it) but you can't go wrong......not sure of the temperature of the Balearics but Menorca is very nice - quieter than Ibiza and Majorca but much better.....
