A re-enactment of the battle of Waterloo takes place every 5 years and it is this coming weekend. I only saw it on a poster in the Brussels metro yesterday.

I saw this 10 years ago and it is an exciting spectacle, with the cannon, authentic full battle dress and 1200 participants.
I would have posted this months ago if I had known about it. It's almost certainly too late now for anybody to make arrangements to go to this interesting event.
Unless, of course, you just happen to be passing by Belgium at the weekend.......
