Good day everyone.

Regular from the official message board till today, but fully support Jon's decision to shut the board down as the tone was getting very low and the standard of messages were getting appauling. It couldn't of been an easy desision for him to make but it was a brave one. The people I feel sorry for are those like Dimitry and such who are overseas and it was one of a few ways to communicate with fellow city fans.

Now I've got that out the way how is everyone and like me are you counting the days to the start of the season already?

I've found a real time football managers game on the internet to pass the time in the meanwhile it's at www.itsagoal.com you have to pick the team, train them, buy and sell players, upgrade your ground and facilities, keep your fans and chairman happy and most importantly don't go bust, my team is the super bantams in division 418 if anyone's interested.

BTW

I would just like to bring up 2 points for Ed to answer.

1. What happened to the Football Predictions? and,
2. I can register for the board at present is there something wrong?

Hi Thorney. Alot of the "decent" OMB posters are now on the city gent site which has today gone down. I can see both this forum and the city gent forum getting quite popular now.

I've also been on the OMB and what strikes me is that some people have no remorse over what happened the other night.

I'm also not sure what was the final straw, the picture (which I'm glad I didn't see) or the verbal assault on JP by Chucklebantam (who is now going around and telling everyone who'll listen that it will be back up and running by the end of the week). JP probably thought on both occasions this is it worth it and in my eyes although a lot of people have to suffer made the right choice it closing it down.

Yeh right, I just popped back for a giggle but tell me big man. Why does the OMB look as bad with the layout as this one. I mean they both look like freebie ones. Like the old one or hate it from PTV, it looked far better then the one they have now. I thought the old old site was moth balled, I would have hoped they would use that don't you.........erm oh you weren't around then were you............never mind Ed, someone might do a decent one, they should have asked Mick.

At least he knows what he's on about from you lot and he seems to leave the rest standing.

Oh dear, maybe something constructive hurt but if it makes you feel a bit better, at least you have colours near enough to the clubs preferred choice.

Are you alright old fella? You do realise I'm not the only one around here who's moderating this place.

Which posts are you meaning when it comes to them being removed? one was moved to the Admin area for me to see and then yes I deleted it because like the above posts and like on the OMB you want and crave to be center of attention.

I used to think you were a sound bloke but your just like everyone says, Who's going to be targetted next week for your verbal abuse?

Now the other two posts that you couldn't find have been approved, just so it doesn't look like i'm talking to myself others can see whats going on.

As said previously, If you don't like the Chav's around here don't read or post here.

Max, you're welcome here if you want to contribute in a positive manner. If you want to post abusive rants then you are probably better off over at the OMB. JP doesn't seem to have the same moderation policy that we do here.

You aren't being picked on, or unfairly treated, or any other garbage. Anybody else who gives out personal abuse will be treated the same way. When I ran a board when the OMB was down before you were the only person who's posts I had to delete - it is the contents of your posts that are offensive and Ed is to be applauded for taking a stand.

If you post in the same manner on any properly moderated board you will have posts deleted and eventually you will be banned. It is a reflection on you, not on the moderators or the site.
