Pearce and Basil Boli's nut? Butcher would have seen it coming.
Terry everytime.
Embarassing for Psycho that. In his book he tries to justify it by saying he intimidated a player, who looked by Boli, by pretended he thought it was him that at pegged him. More like his arse fell out.
Butcher was a hard **** on and off the pitch. Pearce a great full back who thought he was rock

Agreed robbieu, Has to be butcher. Born leader and a man that epitomised everything that was good about english football in the good ole days.

what a load off sh/t, Pearce would knack Boli in a brawl IMO.
I Bet if Pearce had produced a cowardly Headbutt on Boli, the fecker would have gone down like a pack of cards!

Have to agree with robbieu - Pearce's arse fell out when Boli nutted him - he went missing the rest of the game......he had big thighs, wore his shorts high and had a wild look but i bet you owt off the pitch one on one Pearce would be no hard man!!
Butcher on the other hand.....wouldn't mess with that fooker - he'd be my "Mr England Hardman".....

A pal of mine Paul Crighton, started at Notts Forest as a youth player.
It was the job of each youth player to look after a senior player, clean boots, get kit together, be a bit of a general dogs body etc..
Paul had to look after Stu Pearce, at xmas time all the senior players gave the young lads a few quid as a thank-you.
Pearce didn't give Paul anything, so Paul gobbed off about Pearce been a tight git, word got back to Pearce.
Pearce got hold of Paul, ragged him about a bit thenn rammed £40 quid in his mouth, and said if he ever spoke about him behind his back again, he'd knock **** out of him !!
You want an hard man, look no further than Shearer

lol.....good one Johnny!!
Damn right about Shearer though - very underestimated in the hardness stakes....remember when he was winding Keane up and Keane threw a few punches which didn't connect because he was being held back? Shearer never even flinched a muscle, he just stood and eyeballed him back with a "is that all you've got" look....!!
To get over TWO cruciate ligament injuries which would have crippled the average player takes something, i remember flinching when he came back from injury at Blackburn - his first touch of the ball was a bone shattering challenge, that takes some balls when even the slightest hint of a mistime would have equalled an end to his career!!
