When players like Sticks make it into the top 50, you can see just how badly we've done for strikers throughout our clubs history.

Plus Stuart McCall 19th highest City scorer of all time :D

If you look at Lee Mills you have to remeber that the 34 goals he scored were in just 2 seasons, one of which he fell out with Mr Jewell so hardly got played. I'm struggling to see Danny Forrests name on that list.
Deano should move up a few places before hes done, I think he could even make the top 10!

Mills record just out of interest was:-
Played........81
Scored........34
a strike rate of a goal of 1 every 2.4 games

Another sad fact is Ed that any new striker next season could break into the top 100 if they manage 20 goals next season.

Although interestingly enough prior to this season deano had scored 27 in 126 so his ratio for the 04/05 season was 1 every 1.57 games!!!!

Bantam Of The Opera

I bet if you took the goals score by Jewell before Christmas and compared it to the number of games before christmas I bet he'd have a 1 in 1 ratio. I remember him getting 2 hat tricks in the 1st 2 away games of the season before. One at Chester then one at Plymouth.
Thanks for the info BOTO!

Considering that at least 30 of those games have been 10 minute run outs where he's had little chance to make an impression...
Anyway, City use him wrongly. He's not particularly strong, but quite skilful and has a yard of pace. We should try playing it either over the top or through the middle to him, so that he can actually use his pace against defenders, rather than hoofing it up to him and expecting him to hold it up.

Spot on Bantamtim,
We seem to do that with most of our smaller, skillful players ie knock the ball long to them!
Forrest usually comes on when were chasing games & the rest of the team are desperately pumping high balls forward, or swing high crosses into the box.
Players like Forrest, Sanasy & Robbie Blake need the ball playing to feet or through balls into space.
Doesn't anyone think Forrest could do a good job on the wing?
