This board shows the old OMB one up

This is what a message board should be about. The PTV software was prehistoric compared to this.

If we can get the registered users up to a critical mass of about 50 and keep the site well moderated then the closure of the OMB and the establishment of this board will have been a totally positive step.

Having a webmaster who is interested and able to change the software is also a great bonus.

Thanks for the post BaldBantam, makes it all worthwhile when you know it's doing a service for people.

I'm going to add more features but I don't want to overload the board with useless stuff, I want to keep it fast, stable and useable.

The OMB is lowering its standards by the day.

To allow purile and childish behavour is pathetic.

I spend the best part of 1 min a day on there - check out the headline news then off i wonder.

99% of the users off there are now on here anyway - so no loss - but this is a far better site anyway.

So much better, i stopped using the OMB when Rick PMd me about claret and banter a while ago now. I came on here and havn't used the OMB since. The arcade, points system, journals etc all all good incentives to visit here rather than the OMB. Good work!

Yeah, far better. I still post on the OMB for the charity countdown thread, be rude not to since it was my idea, but otherwise, I don't really bother. It is full of chavs and they're always baiting folk. This board, on the other hand, has a real community feel. Long may it continue!
