Doesnt act like the kind of Midfielder who would use his Mobile for purposes other than to speak with someone. ;) :D
So no chance apparently in our current squad...

I'd have Kevin Nolan first...Most underated player in the prem at the current time..

I agree he's a "prick of a human being" but when i went to the Fulham v Man City game a couple of months ago he was awesome!! All over the pitch, tough tackling and he can pass a bit too - not to mention his goal scoring ability, he's definately a great talent!! I were well impressed with Steeeeeeeeeed Malbranque that day too!!
BTW agreed about Nolan too - not got what it takes at International level IMO, but one of the best "club midfielders" in the prem!!

Explain how you come to that for me Matty...
The fellas awesome going forward.
He can cross a ball ,
hes not shy going back in fact hes a box to box player.
He scores **** loads for his club, against the bigger teams too.
Two footed...
He gets stuck in when he needs to..
Why shouldnt he get his chance..What part of his game less the fact he plays for Bolton not Chelsea Manure or Arsenal????
Unless he is given a shot how will we ever know if a player of his obvious quality is good enough????

You've just answered your own question there mate;) , to think when Sven first came into the job he picked Chris Powell & everyone thought that this manager would start afresh with no football "Snobbery", but like everyone knows its twice as hard getting a foot in the England squad unless you play for the "Big clubs":(
Nolans a natural English left footer as well, something thats a bit of a rarity in the Prem. these days!

I tell you why mate - because purely and simply we have the best midfield in the world - how would Nolan (and indeed Barton at the present time) improve it?....
We have established back up at the present time.....i'm not disagreeing he's a top, top English midfielder btw.....but i don't think he's got what it takes to dislodge any of the present squad....

So attacking midfield who do we have to replace Gerard and Lamps..???
Form players im on about bearing in mind there will be about 2 players per position going to the WC????
Hes a player in the mould of Scholes Scores from anywhere hits it either foot, has an all round top game.. If Sam gets in we will find out im sure etc etc . Once again i will WRITE it for you though...;)
IF HE ISNT GIVEN THE CHANCE, HOW WILL WE EVER KNOW????

I'm not entirely sure who we expect Nolan and Barton to replace in our midfield. probably worth a shout as back up, though we have plenty anyway.
