My name is Dave. 37 Next Thursday. Been A City regular since 23rd of August 1978 which was a 2-1 victory over Hereford.Since the beginning of this season I don't go to games anymore in protest of the current regime's piss poor treatment of the fans and their lack of ability in running a football club efficiently. I will start going again with a change of regime or stonewall assurance the fans will be treat with the respect they deserve.
Like Wisey a founder member of Shippers and BCISC, both of which still have my unwavering support. I also worked with the BCST during the last crisis and I wouldn't do again, knowing what I know now.
Been Messageboarding on the OMB and here since early 1999, always under ChuckleBantam.
Work In Leeds with a lot of Leeds Supporters.
Unmarried but attatched, no kids.
My other interests are Reading, Writing, Gym (believe it or not :) ) Live Music, Cinema and my pets.
Live in Bradford Moor opposite the New Morrisons HQ and believe you and me the tight fecker will soon regret moving in next to riff raff like metup:
Met lots of people from here in the "real world" one or two of which I consider good mates.
Other Teams who's results I look out for are, in order Celtic, Liverpool and Sheff United. I hate Leeds, Hudders,Rangers and Chelsea, in that order.

I've been going to City since the season after the fire. I've been in the Bantams Bar for the last 3 seasons but have taken the upgrade to the Patrons Suite for next season.
I've been involved in various supporters organisations over the years, and have been posting on City messageboards for the last 8 years or so.
I live in Clayton Heights. Married with one daughter. I own an asbestos removal company, Dean Dismantlers Ltd, and I own rental houses in the Clayton Heights area.

My Name is Baldrick......and I'm an alchoholic.
BE SERIOUS NOW!!!:D
My real name is Glenn.
I live in Clayton with my wife Susan and have two children, Damian (aka Smiler) who is 23 and shacked up with his girlfriend in the village and Katrina who is 18 and still living out of my wallet....both are part time City supporters.
Susan has her own Chiropody business and I work as a technical analyst in a mainframe environment.
I have been a Bantam since 1966 but a billion brain cells have died since than so I can't remember what the match was....anyway, I only went the first time cos I fancied my mates sister who was a City Golden Girl. (remember them Norm?).
Susan and I enjoy walking, quizzes and eating out as often as possible.
I rarely take life seriously and visit message boards to keep up to step with the latest city rumours and to have a laugh as much as I can.
I'm a serial multi-alta-ego user and have posted under various guises such as Baldrick, Delboy, Futureman, Sentamu Bantam, Caleb Hog, Groovin With Mr Bloe and others.....when I have my serious head on I'm Kop Kred. And I don't give a toss what people think..... so Ya Boo Sucks!!!

Have made a few friends on these boards which are my link to home, and have an MSN link with a few.Cheers.

I was born under the Bradford End.
Was born directly behind the Bradford End at 59 Lupton Street on March 3rd 1957....been a City fan since, although my first match would have been around 1962 I think.
Brian Close the former Yorkshire and England cricket player was on the books at City. One day he came round to our house and told my Mam that he had it on good info that I was hoarding matchballs that were kicked over the Bfd end. My mam said "It's a bloody tale" but let Brian check in the cellar. 17 matchballs were found......I was about 5yr old at the time.
On a Sunday when there was no groundsmen at Valley Parade me and my mates would sneak in and have a game of footie....Ay memories

I ate a pint of live maggots in aid of the 'Save our City appeal' and was involved in forming the BCISC with Chuckle, Wisey, King Billy, Clayton Bantam, Parader, Ed and others.

Names Matt and i'm 31 years old!! I live in Wrose and attended Hanson Upper and Thorpe Middle schools, always lived locally apart from a 3 year RAF stint, from being a wee nipper i had previously lived in Clayton and Wibsey and amazingly to say i lived at that side of Bradford - i never got round to learning the banjo.....:D
Been supporting City since my first game attended which was a 1-1 draw against Southend United in 1982, it was the very first of my hero's, a certain Bobby Campbell who scored that day.....since then i'd class a handful of others as hero's, namely, Hendrie, McCall, Goodman, Jackson, Ellis, Kennedy, Duxbury, Beagrie and Edinho....:) For some reason (maybe its age) i haven't been able to class anyone as "hero" since - Jacobs and Wethers aren't far off - but for some reason don't have the King Billy required "x-factor" to make it on my elite list.....:(
Was founder member of the Shippers (whom i hitched a lift back from Brentford with yesterday - cheers Steve and Stu ;)) and also like others on here the BCISC, due to work commitments and changes in priority i've since stepped down from both organisations, but as Chuckle mentioned above both will always have my full support and backing - local, independant fans groups/clubs are essential for any football club NOT supporters trusts (IMHO of course ;))
I work for me old mans company, although at his time of life he tends to not be in work very often, choosing rather to enjoy the fruits of his labours - therefore i more or less run the company, after spending my first 3 years of employment for HM forces and being dictated to - working for myself and having no-one to answer to is something i've always wanted to do :) Luckily for me me old man gave me that opportunity notworthy:
Married for 3 years to Sarah ballnchain: , prior to that i was a serial womaniser sex: who's left a string of broken hearts mainly around the Bradford region - but even as far afield as the Falklands and the U.S. love: tup: Sarah's a practice nurse who at 28 years old is now 21 weeks pregnant with our 1st snapper - finding out what "make" it is on Tuesday so i'll update this paragraph once i know....tup: (George Matthew was born on the 28.08.06 tup:)
My interests are me two dogs - Bud and Stella (labrador and lurcher dog and bitch respectively), going out with (or even better without :D) the Mrs, eating out, decent film and cinema, watching live music, listening to decent bands and generally being an all round sport lover!!
Been a "messageboarder" on here since its inception and prior to that the Official Messageboard (before it got closed down and "remodelled") - met most regulars off here in real life and made some good mates - surprisingly for the internet almost (apart from a couple :D) everyone i've met is not your typical cyber geek - in fact most like me, are fun loving beer suppers :) drink: Cheers: beer:
Oh and yeah - my obvious second team is the might Glasgow Rangers!! The finest club on the planet!!
Twinkle in the Pink

I was born and brought up in Bradford; my early life was spent very happily in Bierley, I went to Bierley Primary, then Highfield Secondary, Tong Street, then I moved to the spanking brand new Fairfax School when it opened. I loved my childhood where I was free to roam in the countryside and play with friends who lived in the same area. We often would go down into the fields and woods surrounding the area (now the M606) to play and make up stories and then allocated ourselves parts in these stories, all very creative stuff, not a pc in sight; we played all kinds of made up games on the street, great times.
I have been a city supporter since 1967; first match City v Notts County we won 5-1 been hooked every since. The man I am now married too took me there to see if I would take to it before he asked me to marry him:D we have been married now for 37 years, we had two children, one girl and one boy; unfortunately I have only the one son now. We also have a wonderful grandson, who is just a joy.
I have been a season ticket holder with my husband since the promotion to the old 1st division, where we migrated to the Midland Road Stand. We used to stand in the kop, and I loved it. Being only 5'1" though I never saw a kop end goal, because every time we were nearing scoring the whole crowd surged forward; although I did have 'my name' on a piece of concrete that was holding up a steel girder, which I used to stand on and hold onto the steel; fun days. We used to travel to all the matches in those days, and we have some great days out.
Unfortunately I am not a lady of leisure and do work full time. I gained my degree in Cardiff, and I also have a Masters gained at Bradford University. It is quite a stressful but rewarding job, which is why I like to have fun during my own time, hence my many and varied contributions to this board.
I joined this msg board at its inception, having previously been a member of the OMB's not quite sure how long but think it must be in the region of 7 years. However, this is by far the best of the lot, although I do miss some of the earlier contributors who posted on the first msg board I visited, it was such a laugh, and we had good debates. I have only recently changed to this sign on, thought I needed a makeover, although it was just to get the smilies:p
For those people who are thinking of becoming a member and making a contribution; please do, it is very good fun, but a warning it is also very addictive:D Most people on here are tolerant and friendly.

Hi. The name's Gareth and I'm relatively new to C&B. I'm 25 years of age and supported City since my first game against Manchester cIty at Maine Road (In the Maine Road end).We drew 2-2. Was a season ticket holder from 1993 through to 2001 (some good years), but due to work commitments stopped going to every game.
I live up in Eccleshill and went to Wellington First and Middle school before moving onto Hanson. Had a spell at H******field University doing a degree in Marketing and now work for Ford Motor Company.
First heard of this message board through my relative King Billy who introduced me to Prawny, Jimbo, Tatt et al in the Bantams Bar. Had to pay for a seat at the top table (yer right), but was treated well by the supposed clique.
Only started participating in the topics when I realised Dr bunson/Masterchef was in fact the prawnmeister, so I found it a good opportunity to friendly take the piss and wind the baldman up!!

I was born in Bradford and lived there until I moved to Bingley last year (lol). I lived in Thornton with parents and then in my own house in Rhodesway. I went to Rhodesway School, stayed on to do A-Levels there, then went to Bradford College for 4 years doing teacher training. I qualified last year and have been working in a school in Bradford since September, in the nursery (awww!). I started a Masters degree this year but am busy at work and am also learning to drive so I'm going to start it again next year (hopefully).
Bradford City has been in the family for years...I watched them first in 1994 when I was 11. I think Jewell scored a hat trick but could be wrong! Had a season ticket until I went to college and couldn't afford it - student life is sooo hard!! Started watching them again last season but have lost interest a little lately though hope to start going again soon.
I also enjoy watching the Bulls (Championis, championis!!) and whenever I'm treated to the occasion, ice hockey with the Sheffield Steelers!
While at school I was in the hockey team and trained a couple of times with BC ladies but found them too butch!!
I love watching live bands - recently I have seen Editors, We are Scientists x2, White Stripes, Artic Monkeys, Maximo Park. Loved them all, especially Maximo Park. Desparate to see Kings of Leon! I also like scary movies and comedies.

Born in Bingley, my father used to take me to L666s until I was old enough to watch games by myself, when I started following Bradford City without him. I've been living in Norway for many years and I have travelled around and worked in most of the country. From Kristiansand in the south to Vadsø close to the Russian border in the north. I've even been to Svalbard. You would never believe the trouble I used to have before the internet, in the old days, trying to listen to the football results on the BBC world service on a Saturday afternoon to hear how Bradford had done in remote out of the way places, somewhere in the middle of the frozen arctic north, with Soviet senders trying to block out the broadcasts. Now I just live in Oslo. Bradford City is my last and only connection to Yorkshire.

Go on then ill play the game as ive got no work to do and I need to look busy!!!!
My real names Kevin (too cool for school that name) i'm 26 years old!!. For the first 24 years of my life I lived over the Fagley, Undercliffe side of Bradford with most of them years spent on Intake Road (until its sad demise). I now live in Allerton (still with the parents, although that should be changing this year). I went to Fagley First, Wellington Middle and Hanson Upper schools. Me mam and dad were members of a Caravan club so I spent most of my childhood weekends travelling around the UK which sounds sad but it was actually brilliant. It was cheaper for the folks than one trip abroad so that’s what we did.
Ive supported City since about 1990 cant remember to be honest, my late Grandfather used to take me and my brother to as many games as could be afforded which wasn’t many. Ive held a season ticket for a few seasons on and off (again when I could afford it)
Seeing as everybody else is mentioning pets we have two rescue Jack Russell’s who are the most charismatic dogs we have ever had, although one of them nearly didn’t live, as one Christmas one of our relatives left a box of chocolates on the floor which the dog ate. Needless to say this small Jack Russell doubled in size with the “toxic effect” and had to have her entire system flushed. Thankfully she’s ok five years on, still a greedy bassa though.!!!!
Ive posted on here from the word go (in fact I think I was the second to do so). I first posted on the City Gent in its old format before lurking on the OMB for a year or so before actually posting.

12th April 2006, 12:14 PM
meelin,
Originated in Great Horton, educated at St Michaels Primary School, Canterbury, St Blaise, and St Bedes.
Moved to Undercliffe, and lived there for several years in an attempt to drink the Hare & Hounds, Malt Kiln,Robin Hood, Green Man, and the Swing Gate dry, failing miserably, so now living in Odsal with Mrs meelin in the shadow of the Wembley of the North.
First went to City circa 1969, a home win against Exeter, Rackstraw scoring from the spot(how come I cam remember that, and not Mrs meelins birthday, our anniversary, etc)
Had some great times following City over the years, and made some good friends.
Although I have no children of my own, have started taking one or two nephews/neices with me, they try and hide when I turn up, but there is no escape.
My City heroes: McCall, every Club should have one, Campbell, what would they make of him in todays game, probably the toughest centre forward I have ever seen. Beagrie, why did we let him go so soon?
Honourable mentions, John Hendrie, Joe Cooke, Ces Podd, Edhino, Futcher.
Favourite games, almost too many to mention, but I will mention the ones that every one else does,Bolton when we actually clinched a trophy, the first one I had ever seen them win one(if you discount the West Riding Cup) Blackpool away,Wembley, Wolves.
Others spring to mind Brentford at home(5-4)Ipswich away in the League Cup(1-1)when Ipswich were a very very good football team, Ipswich away in the FA Cup(4-4)Reading away in our promotion season(0-3)we were that good that day that the Reading keeper turned round and clapped us and said what a good team we were, my mate told him to f**k off!
Mansfield away(1-1)the last game of the season, we clinched second place, there were loads of people in fancy dress, including me.
Chelsea at home in the Premier League, a 2-0 win, and quite possibly the finest City performance I have ever seen.
Lots of incredibly dreadful games, far too many to mention here, but, believe me, if some of the younger fans think that we play some dreadful stuff now, they should have been around during the seventies, early eighties, looking back now, I sometimes question my sanity, and wonder what possessed me to go week in, week out, I got the answer the day we were promoted to the Premier League.
Biggest heartbreak, easy, the fire, I don't need to elaborate, we all have our memories of that truly dreadful day.

Hi. Born at St Luke's Hospital in 1974, brought up in Bankfoot (Hutton Road), moved to Shelf when I was 10, endured 7 years at BGS (hard labour), spent a year dossing at Aston Uni, then another pointless year at plymouth Uni, dropped out, came home, got a job working as a manager of a bookies for 5 years, moved into NHS, have lived in Wakefield and now in Wyke, been seeing our lass for 3 and 1/2 years, followed City since I was about 7, first game involved Bobby Campbell scoring what I thought was a 30-yard header against Oxford I think, we won 2-1.
Have had my stint with the Trust, no longer involved, know most of the people on here from the old OMB, was invited across by the bald one and am currently as happy as a pig in muck!

Bit late for this but nevermind.
I'm Sanj and I live in Sipson, Middlesex. I'm 19 and I've live with one younger sister and my parents. Born in Bradford and lived in Frizinghall until I was 16 and uprooted to London. Came back up for university but realised it wasn't for me and that I wanted to join the RAF or police.
Anyway I've been supporting Bradford since my dad took me to the 1st round FA Cup match against Scunthorpe in 1994 but didn't go to many games between then and the Playoff final at Wembley. I've been, what I would hope, a loyal fan ever since. It's hard being a city fan down south because you don't get to go to many of the games but I try to get to as many as I can.
Joined the OMB a few years ago. I can't remember how I registered on here even though it says I've been registered on here since 2005:confused:. I know a few characters on this board from the old one, some more unsavoury than others  But I do try and be friendly, rather than biting back like on the old OMB.
My favourite Bradford City player has to be Peter Beagrie because of his flair and entertainment value. My favourite ever Bradford City match I saw was the 2-2 draw against Burnley in the 2002/03 season because we managed a draw with 9 men. My all-time favourite football match I saw was Chelsea V Barcelona in the second leg of the 2004/05 CL because I was next to the Barca fans and was able to taste the European atomosphere and watch a fantastic game of football.

I was born and brought up in bradford and most of my life lived in allerton and keighley, i was sort of educated at allerton middle and rhodesway school and had a great time wasting my school age years.
I have been a bradford fan/supporter call me what you will, from birth i think, i was taken to valley parade in my pram while being about 6-7 months old so i suppose my first match was around 1974.
Now that i live in the north east i find it quite difficult to get to all the matches but i do try to get to at least 15 matches a year ( part-timer eh )
My favourite players would have to be Gerry Ingram ( my god father ) Stuart McCall, John Hendrie, Paul Tomlinson,Dave Evans etc etc etc

Work for BT in L***s and surrounding areas, so work can be pretty interesting with the banter with the scum fans.
Hobbies include snowboarding, rock/metal, gigs, city(natch), walking, sky tv and of course boozing.
Currently single, but apparently I'm a good catch, own house, car, good job etc, could it be city that puts them off?????

I'm 17 and I was born in L##ds and live in the metropolitan district of l##ds in otley, but because of my connection with Bradford, I would primarily consider myself from West Yorkshire. I live roughly equally distant between Bradford L##ds and Harrogate but live closer to VP than ER.
I have followed City for over 10 years, my first game being a 1-1 draw with Chester City in Nationwide Div 2
My first away game (not counting the 2-1 loss to l##ds at elland road where i happened to be in a l##ds hospitality box) was away at hull city when we won 1-0.
My support for City developed as i went to more and more games with my dad and my sister who took me to see city as they had smaller crowds (less intimidating crowds) and it was cheaper and because he also didn't like l##ds from when he went to boarding school in wakefield. I also went on Bradford City coaching courses in school holidays.
I attend about 2/3s of home game and a few of the nearer away games each season, but i am attending more and more games each season. I tend to sit at the top of the Kop or in the corner with my sister.
I am a qualified level 7 referee (level 0 is international level) and referee in the Harrogate and district league on some saturday afternoons. I am a Christian and attend my local URC church. I am at studying English Language, Politics and History A levels at high school.
My Sister is also a Bradford fan and my Dad supports West Ham United, but my other sister and mum are inactive l##ds supporters.
I found this site when browsing through the Bradford City entry of wikipedia which I presume someone on here wrote!!

28 years old first game i can remember was mansfield home in either 81 or 82 i think all i can remember is my dad shouting "SCABS SCABS SCABS" good fun and had me hooked
Used to work at city for 2 years and was also a ball boy for 5 years and if any of you can remember city beating exeter 3-0 at home and a ball boying going arse over tit trying to catch the ball yes it was me.
Favourite game was blackpool away in play offs we were the bravest fans ever to go there and think we could win and everyone of us knew we would
Worst Game apart from Lincoln 85 was wrexham away ldv cup or league cup 6-0 down at half time i think that was a disgraceful way to treat the 36 fans that went.
Not sure if i can tell you what i do for a living MI6 dont allow it.
Dont go to as many games as i would like due to working commitments and the fact first and foremost im a football fan and we aint played football for 8 months and that was only for 4 games
Hereos in football are McGod who is professional to the end and Paul Scholes who is what every footballer should strive to be (apart from being Ginger)
Outside of football its no contest she maybe from l66ds and maybe a scum fan but Jane Tomlinson is an absolutely amazing person
Also love naked ladies and lots of em !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My name is Christine, I am 34 , single and live in Wilsden. I have been going to the city since the early eighties as a youngster. I have 3 children , lads of 17 and 15 and little girl of 9. I have been taking my kids to the football practically from birth. Having been a season ticket holder of the A block in the Carlsberg for 8 years , last season everything started to change. my sons decided to move up to the top tier to be with their pals and my daughter opted for music lessons on a Saturday, therefore I was left alone. So I joined the Shipley Bantams as my stepfather travelled with them from the onset and I went to join him last season in the C block but not as a season ticket holder as I was now going to games on my own i didnt buy one as i thought i would be going to less games, how wrong was I? I will be buying season tickets this year for the C block for myself and upstairs for my lads.
Any how I then joined various football forums around the internet and made lots of new friends to go to home and away games with, still travelling with the Shipley Bantams.
I use mostly the Bradford City OMB and am a regular in the countdown thread on there.

Real name: Rob, but everyone calls me Bobby. (The username says lee because it was originally me mate’s account, but I started using it instead and never thought to change it!) Born in HRI in Huddersfield, but my parents lived in Brighouse, and my connection with City is that me dad is Bradford born and bred and we moved to Thackley when I was 3 anyway, so no real danger of me becoming a TB. Now I’m 19, been at York Uni for the past year doing a biology degree, so I live up here and partly back in Thackley on holidays and some weekends. Still a City season ticket holder and have been since my dad bought us both one for the first Prem season (glory supporters!). Had been going in dribs and drabs before that since ‘97 or ’98, my first game was a 2-0 win at home against Oxford if I remember correctly after I’d got a free ticket from school. Have always sat in the Midland Road (or Ciba as I know it) Stand in varying places; started out in block C but now sit in A block right in the top corner. Try to get to most away games, 05/06 was my best season so far when I only missed 2 (Southend and Bristol). I don’t do a right lot in my spare time any more, I used to play yoof football on Sundays to quite a decent level but gave that up to concentrate on exams at A level. I also play the trumpet, used to be in several bands but now it’s more solo and for enjoyment rather than for any real cause. Obviously I trawl the boards a bit as well, been on here for a while and also the Gent site. Apart from that I enjoy the pub, music, TV, so the usual stuff for a teenager really.
My claim to fame on here at least is that we were at the original Shippers meeting at the George in Idle and we went to the first away game (Harrogate Town) on the minibus, but unfortunately for some reason we never went again, most probably because we were 16 at the time and we had no jobs and not enough pocket money!

name is Mat, 29 yrs old live on Isle of Skye since last May and single ladies! ha ha. Self employed training to be a sparky with my dad. I also do a few days on a fish farm amongst many other non guaranteed low wage jobs!
I was born in Bury 1978 and then lived in Ramsbottom and then Wyke by the time I was about 2 or 3 I think. Lived in Oxenhope for a good while til I was halfway through Primary school and that's where my link to City began. Played soccer school at Bingley on a weekend and went to see City a few times, once at VP i believe and once at Odsal. Also supported Liverpool as you do but when I moved to Selby ditched them and started following City in earnest as I was old enough to travel on train to games on my own and with some school mates who supported Man U etc. Can't remember first away game, probably Burnley but I know my first coach trip was Hartlepool away we were in some corner terrace and we won 2-1 I think. Since then I've had season tickets up until I left, i didn't have one when at Uni in Sheffield but still managed some away days and homes. Racked up nearly 80 away grounds and spent far too much coin, went over to RKC Wallwijk as did many others but I was on the coach driven by the plonker who missed us hours of boozing time in Breda!!! Nowadays I manage a few away games and fewer homes as it's easier to fly to london to be honest. Made it to Millwall, Brighton (cheers chasser!), Carlisle and Northampton at home last season and I shall be at all our London games next season and hopefully a few more homes money permitting. And York City pre season I hope!!!
That's about it for my City history and a belated introductio on this thread.

Abit late but....
I'm Lee (aka Northern), I'm 21 and live just off Bolton Junction (Grove House). I've been going to City since I was 6, regulary since I was 8, season ticket holder since I was 10. I sit in the Midand Road stand but occasionally upgrade to the BantamsBar when I fancy a change!
I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years now, she finishes Uni in Lancaster in a month which'll free me up to go to more away matches with The Shippers next season, usually she came back to Bradford when city were at home and I went up there when we were away (I somehow managed to get to 10 away games last season though, which she wasn't too happy about.)
I work in L666s in a Laboratory developing new products for a company called Chamelic. I was an OMB regular but can't be arsed with all the hassle I get on there anymore so you'll be seeing alot more of me in the future on C&B! I don't know many from here, only a couple who go on the OMB and I met Baldy the other week.
Cheers,

I first went to BPA with my Dad and brother as we lived in Hudson Ave, but as BPA demised, we switched to City, that was about 68/69 something like that. Now 52 next, and tho' had a few breaks from going to VP due to business, am still as fervent a supporter as ever. Memorable games; beating Wrexham 7-1 (or 2), FA Cup Spurs, btg Darlo to go up to div3, losing to luton on last day of season when crowd thought we were up anyway, too many to mention. The fire of course, and Wembley, Wolves etc etc. Could never support another club - dont care what league we're in, just to win is enough, the rest follows. So glad Mcall is back - he really cares, even if he fails it wont be for want of trying - it is disappointing that local business cannot muster more of an effort to support the club.

2. Educated at Southmere, Gt Horton then Buttershaw comp
3. As I have mentioned, happily married for 3years and have two daughters aged 5 and 18months

5. First away game sunderland, old roker park lost 1-0 and greg abbott hit the post, travelled on patsy coachjawdrop:
6. Season ticket on and off for many a year, refused to watch todd but bit the bullet last year and moved to the Bantams Bar, which i spend more time in, than watching the game, I blame todd for that. Will be back again this year in the bantams bar.
7. I am crap at football, all left footed, but love the beatiful game
8. I cannot drive and I have never triedjawdrop:
9. I think i know were the top table is, but am yet to introduce myself, and if it is were i think it is, what a collection of odd balls, ONLY JOKING...:)
I will step forward this season
10. The first concert I ever went to was JAMES at st.georges hall many moons ago, which coincidently my future wife was at, but our paths never crossed that day

I'm Gareth A.K.A Tyneside BCFC
Born and bred in Bradford. Grew up in Lidget Green and then Thornton. Educated at Rhodesway and went on to L**ds uni to do my degree. Lived in Wilsden and Eldwick over a 5 year period after leaving university before moving up to the north-east, initially to Gateshead and then onto a place the north side of Newcastle, just a few furlongs up the road from Gosforth Park racecourse. My wife is a Gateshead lass (though we actually met in Bradford) and have 3 beautiful girls, aged 5,2 and 4 months (as of July 07), all of whom are being brought up as junior Bantams. I have a dual role as a Supply Chain Manager and Cost Accountant for a medium sized manufacturing company on North Tyneside. The vast majority at work are Magpies supporters with a few Mackems (and 1 or 2 Blyth Spartans), so obviously Monday mornings can be quite painful, especially if they've all won and we've lost.
Been going to City since the 84/85 season, stated in the old Bradford End with my dad and older brother and have managed 1 season were i got to every game (1999/2000 season). I never had a choice as far as a football team is concerned, my dad is a huge City fan who's been going for 46 years and my mums side are all BCFC supporters so that was that. Got a s/t in D block Midland Rd, still sit with my dad and take my eldest daughter along.

Alright people? I'm Labeeb, born in Kenya, came to Engalnd in 1970 when I was 6 and was brought up in Manningham / Heaton. Went to Manningham Middle School right opposite VP, and started following City in the 77 / 78 season when we were in the old Third Division - had just been promoted the previous season. My first game was a glorious 0-0 affair with Hereford. I think it my second game were we played Sheff Weds and beat them 3-2.
Started off watching most games in the Bradford End, but after a few years, switched to the Kop - much better view. Was standing there on the day of the Fire, and so feel somewhat connected to that part of the ground, and have stuck with it over the years until very recently, moving to the Midland Road and the family enclosure. ST is for Block B
Anyway, we got relegated that first season, but I've followed them ever since. I moved down to Nottingham in 1991 and so its been harder to get to games, but try to get to as many as I can, at times its easier going to away games then getting up to VP.
Like others, this years season ticket deal was just too good to miss. Got two kids who were both born down here in Nottm, so trying to get them into all things claret and amber, but they're resisting.
So, 31 years later, we've kind of gone round full circle. Just a shame the descent was far quicker than the rise to the top.

Hi, I answer to Brian or Baz.
I was born in BRI in 1970 my family lived on the Caterbury Estate until 1980 and then moved to Wyke. Moved to Blackpool in 1992 until 1999. Now live in Golcar, Huddersfield next two Town fans, plenty of banter.
I have been supporting the Bradford City since the Odsal days and have been a season ticket holder (Carlsberg Stand) for the last 12 years.
Favourite game is the Play Off Semi-Final at Bloomfield, I lived in Blackpool at the time and was with some friends in the Blackpool end for the game. How to lose friends in 90 minutes :D
Carl Shutts signed shirt as pride of place on my office wall, I have collected over 70 City home/away shirts over the last 20 years.
My favourite player was Peter Beagrie, some of his wing play in the promotion season to the Premier League was the best I have seen at Valley Parade.
Never booed Bradford City and see it as a privilage to support them.
Over the moon to have seen them play for two seasons in the English highest Division and take my two duaghters to the games.

Morning
Paul Andrew Smith married to Catherine. Two children.
Born mid-60s in the beautiful paradise that is Buttershaw. Sadly left Bradford when I was 6yrs old to go to the Midlands. Since then have lived in Bournemouth, Sheffield, London, Wiltshire, Germany and now Bristol - I can't get on with anyone!
First City game was with my dad back in the late '60s and IIRC we beat Torquay -recall nothing about the game but can remember the excitement. Doldrums from the age of 6 to 17 following City but rarely attending games. At 17 I could drive (and, more importantly, did not have any long-term girlfriends) spent the next few years following City getting to perhaps 15 games a season home and away except for the "Nearly Season" where I got to 35 matches. Wife and kids have stymied me for a number of years but I try to get to as many games as I can - it would be nice if we could find ourselves in Div 1 next season with the 2 Brizzle teams, Cheltenham and Swindon!
Favourite player will always be McCall but I am uncertain still of his management skills.
Aim is to win the lottery, move back to Yorkshire and get a Season Ticket. Meanwhile I spend as much time as I can reading boyfrombrazil, T&A and claretandbanter and have been a loyal subscriber to City Gent for more years than I care to remember.

Thought I did this already?! Ah well here goes...
Name's Chris, been going to watch City since 1993, born and bred in Huddersfield, the only time I go to Bradford is every other Saturday. My Dad was born in Bradford and moved to Huddersfield when he met my Mum, thankfully he brung me up proper and never let me support the blue and white shite jump:
My Dad was in the main stand on that fateful day in 1985 and my Grandpa sadly died of a stroke a few months after the event having spent some time in hospital. As I was only 3 I can hardly remember him but I'm sure he'll be proud that I'm carrying on his legacy rather than being a TB.
I live in Salendine Nook (just off the M62) with my bird of 8 years, Melissa, and our 3 year old Labrador. When I'm not sex: my missus or walking the dog (and no even though I'm from Huddersfield it's not the other way round ), I like the odd beer:
Don't know anyone on here personally but sit in Block D of Midland Road right at the back and know Yeadon and CibaSteve by sight.
Live in Huddersfield, work in Leeds but do the right thing and follow City jump:

Hi everyone!
I am a new member here. My self David Brown. This is my first post. The thing I like about this community is it is a place where I can feel safe asking hard questions or talking about hard emotions. Where I can have a little anonymity and vent the stuff I wouldn't otherwise. It's a place where I can laugh. I love to come here and ask almost anything without being ridiculed, and receive honest answers from several different perspectives. I also love that I can share advice, life stories and opinions without feeling as though I'm sharing it with all of my friends and family. Hope for great time here with all you guys.
