Reading the other MB's - seems like there was a bit of bother after the match at Barnsley - comments from anyone there?.....

Said it before and i hope i'm wrong but i reckon its gonna kick off big time next Saturday, there'll be shitloads of Forest in the home ends, huge stakes (for Forest) the minutes silence (which i'd guess at some of the Forest fans not respecting) and pitch invasion......got all the ingredients for a full days worth of bother IMO.....

Money Talks though Mattytdwn:

You have to be critical of the Yorkshire First ST Holders though that roll over and let their bellies tickled without objection everytime some so called big team asks for more tickets.

Make sure you get to the TT before some spinless twice a yearers get there first.

The Barnsley fan's invaded the pitch and came over to the City end and tried to provoke the City fan's.There we're loads of police in riot gear in front of the City fan,s and this stopped some of the Hooli element from Bradford getting on the pitch. All in all the Bradford City fans conducted themselve's superbly and we did'nt see any bother after the game.

I'm a spineless Yorkshire First ST Holder who "rolls over and gets my belly tickled" but this is due to the fact that when I buy my ST I am fully aware of the fact that I will be asked to move should the need arise.

It'd be a bit pathetic spitting my dummy out of the pram and kicking up a fuss when I already know it could happen when I choose to sit there.

Just a thought like......

If a few of you said "feck off, we come every week, they'll probably not set foot in VP ever again, why not put loyalty before a fast buck for once you crooked bastards?" You might not be made to do it.

Chuckle, surely if we did do that, we'd get bollocked by all and sundry for denying City a potential pay day.

It's a no win situation for us YFS s/t holders sometimes, give us a break... we don't wanna move anyway.

What should you care what others think?? I wouldn't. I'd rather be in the bad books of narrow minded people than being stuck in the middle of an almighty ruck when the inevitable kick off and injuries finally happen when they do this.

Fair point, but under the current regime they'd probably still go for the fast buck and we'd get moved anyway. Not strong on customer service as we all know.

not quite sure what is expected of the long suffering Midland Roaders. We are told to move seats in order to let the club make more money; then we are told by a non-season ticket holder who has hardly put a foot in VP for the whole season to stand up and fightargument:

standing up is all we will do, as the forrest fans will be sitting in the seats we usually occupy.

Yes I could have taken my ball home this season, and it was touch and go whether I bought one or not, I have still bought it in the Midland Road, funny that, because I know I will be moved at some point next season.

So yes I will enjoying the company of the BB regulars next Saturday, at no extra expense to metup: Whoops will I pushing regulars out of the BB because I am a spineless?? No they buggered off last season, and sit on high and tell the long suffering season ticket holders, what they should and shouldn't do, give me a breakzzz:

If their health and safety was compromised, then no, I wouldn't.

The 100k the club makes from this will be peanuts compared to the backlash if/when somebody finally gets hurt and I'd have sense enough to take that into consideration before greed finally clouded my judgement. But then again, I'm not Julian Rhodes or Jim Brown.

Chuckle surely it's better to have 4000 in the Midland Road on their own rather than City having all three normal sides and 4000 Forest fans wangling their way into the home end?

And in this case surely H&S will be improved, not worsened?

They are going to wangle in the home end anyways !!

Exactly!

All I'm saying is that if we hadn't given them the YF then there would be even more Forest fans in the home end, what's more they'd be in all 3 home stands rather than just the two.

It'd be a nightmare.

There would be no health and safety compromises with minimal ticketing for away fans and adequate stewarding. Neither will be in evidence for this game and greed is the only factor behind that.

How you can say that it'll be safer is ridiculous. Stringent checks when selling tickets, like they are doing and the TL Dalls stand for Forest ST holders only. Then there would be little risk to safety as opposed to the big risk there is now. Paint me up as a moaner all you want, but this game is a compromise of health and safety and a kick in the teeth of loyal city fans who don't want and shouildn't have to move and the only reason is to make more money.

I'm comfortable in taking the young 'un next weekend and have faith in the security and policing at VP to ensure our safety.
Away from the ground is a different matter.
City have been accomodating to Forest like they were with Pompey / Hull and Man City in years gone by for example.
I reckon the miutes silence will be observed impeccably by all in the stadium .

I sit in the YF stand as I like the view from D Block, I don't mind moving for a couple of games a season, afterall I get a free upgrade to the Bantams Bar as well.

I don't even drink at the match as I have to drive to games, I'm just going in the BB for the comfy seats. tup:
