AFC MANCHESTER the fans club took 4500 to Blackpool Mechanics FC.They created more atmosphere than 60000 at Old Trafford.
AFC Wimbledon are getting 4000 for home games.

Baldbantam,ED and Ernie you have the brains,so lets set AFC Bradford up.We could take over a number of local clubs and move them to Horsfall Stadium. Its time for a revolution from us the life blood of Bradford City.

Nah, AFC Bradford is not the answer. Bradford City F.C minus the losers, incompetents and hangers on is what we need. Only the Fans can make it happen though.

But AFC Bradford isn't our club, we have one and it could be a decent honest club to support again if certain people would sling their hooks.

but it could be - if they rip the heart out of the one we all know and love so much - and it will happen! I dont see why not !

SFB had some useful knowledge one time about the requirements of setting up a footie club - but my hearts still with City just about.

City is my team, not AFC City. If we fold, then lets go down that route. But whilst we still have a club lets make it right! We DO still have the potentiel IMO to be at least a tier 2 team in this country. It's not time for AFC City...yet.

One of my best days out at football this season was Bradford City v Bradford Park Avenue pre-season.Loads of beer, football,a good laugh and no fcuking coppers treating you like ****.It was a fun evening and 2000 City fan's.If AFC Bradford were to form it would be in the Claret and Amber colours, but it would be run by the fans for the fans.

Still got it, Wisey, never went away. Last time this sort of idea was mentioned though it was dismissed without a thought. Fans running clubs? Give over, that's tantamount to fans in the Boardroom, isn't it?

You all know my thoughts on this. I wouldn't go for an AFC Bradford as we don't have anywhere near the issues Wimbledon and United had - FC United is a stance by the fans against franchising football clubs as they believe the Glazers have done. We should all know the story with AFC Wimbledon - franchising, upping sticks and stealing the club away from the fans.

I would argue JR has not done either of these things and for the moment the club is pretty safe, albeit not very productive/effective/successful etc.

Some sort of fan involvement is needed - if you get past the personalities and the individuality of one person being involved and think that if done right that person is accountable to a fans' organisation, is effectively a spokesperson for the fans and is as representative as possible then it can work. And remember representative might mean you don't agree but the majority do so some things would still cause debate/argument/fall-outs etc.

It's workable, but then again I can understand why people might be concerned or apprehensive about letting a "lowly" fan get involved in boardroom decision-making. All I would say is don't do the fans down, as a collective group we have much more business acumen than the few on the Board, access to a wide range of skills and knowledge and are the biggest investor the Club has ever had, as a group.

If people really really want some input and to sort this club out.

Get your buckets out, Get your maggots down your throat and buy a seat on the board.

I've always said equal financial status is necessary and then how does one person become elected and able to report on everything - footi clubs run under a veil of sececy like most businesses - only way would be for a supporters co-oprative type movement to buy the whole shooting match - I uused to luv the old divi stamps lol !

If it wasnt for these same said money grabbing bastards half of us who follow football wouldnt have a club to follow..

We pay their wages.... Yep but we dont pump the cash in week after week like they do...

Fans in charge... Bollocks... Fair play to the fellas who run these businessess ...There are some bad uns but they are far outweighed by the guuys who pump millions of their own hard earned quids in without wanting anything other than to see their clubs do well..

When they dont the same fans who know what these guys have done demand the poor fookers do one..

What a set of bastards...

I obviously see this in a different way...Far from being pariahs i welcome these guys with open cheque books and thank fook there are still enough of em about.. Far too easy to preach about their inadequecies when its not you pumping in the cash...

I agree with SFB, plus I'm happy with my Bradford City.tup: AFC Bradford would only be good if there was something massively contravertial at City.
