I understand its going to be wound up but i feel that even at a very low level it needs to be kept alive as an alternative to the trust even if it means fewer meetings etc. I know the reasons why and understand them but having moved to bingley i personally couldnt be involved anymore in the area i was. If the sc needs help then i will put my hand up again in order it keeps going even if it means travelling a bit.

Thing is IMO its up to them to keep it open..
Now im sure going by the stats and things they have done they do a good job at doing what they do!!!
However it seems to me that its is their responsibilty and duty to make it work by advertising running events etc...
Only then can it stay alive... Its the same as any business venture... If its ideas marketing recruiting etc dry up folding will be inevitable...
If they have tried everything then its got to be time gentlemen please...Thats life...Maybe someone can now take it on via another level of thinking/planning etc...
But for now

i dont think the sc need to provide players for forums or fundraise for the club if its proving a bind working with them. As an "independent" sc they are a place for fans to channel things through if they cant or dont want to approach the club.
Last weekends events at Barnsley are a case in point. without the issue being raised by fans and contact to the clubs, papers etc being made it would have been quietly brushed aside. The running costs for keeping the organistation are as high or low as the sc deems. It can just be a PO box or address until brighter times or times the fans need representing like last week. Id say keep it going and open, let supporters do their own thing but keep links with them and dont disband the thing. It was set up originally as an alternative voice to the trust and that is very important, we dont want to go back to being the only league club without a sc again! tup:
