View Full Version : Well another season gone...
That's another season gone and as much as we all expected promotion I still believe that this season has been a success.
Why people are probably asking?
Well heres my reasons:
1) Schumacher showed he was a flash in the pan and very overrated. His performance this season have been awful.
2) We've seen the rise of Joe Brown.
3) We've seen the rise of Joe Colbeck.
4) Seen that Symes does have what it takes (people may say thats odd since he's only played 45 minutes - what a poor year it's been for him).
5) We've seen the rise of Craig Bentham.
All this shows that we have seen is that we have a bright future and that future is our youth, As much as people say Todd doesn't play the youth we've seen just what some of our youth players can do. Colbeck has prolly pushed Morrison out of Valley Parade. Bentham has played Kearney out of Valley Parade it seems and the rise of Joe Brown has seen Cooke pushed out of the club.
Our future is the youth players and this season we've seen something that makes me feel very optomistic about next season - these young players are what we have needed for sometime they have given me a believe that we will be up there next season if Todd gets it right by getting in a new left back, left winger and another striker .... along with the youths an the return of Edghill and partnership of Bower & Wethers things do look better for next season.

We have started to find our feet after a long downward slide – now its time to look upwards again. I think next year will be exciting.

If Todd stays it will more of the same 1-0 up and what do we do, defend deep as per normal Todd tactics and get another draw. todd sets out to get draws at all costs then moans that a few more wins instead of draws blah blah blah. He is so limited in tactics its unbelievable. Mid table or slightly lower is my guess. And hell will freeze over before Caddi scores a hat trick or ten in a season, striker my arse.:(

Read this next time next season and laugh at how wrong you were....
things don't look better, they look worse imo. Todd will bring in more holloways, pettas and caddamateris - both usless and expensive
We will continue to play defensive negative football, and in time todd will harshly drop the youths i can almost gaurentee it...
Our goalkeeping sensation ricketts will probably be on his way soon (another fantastic performace today btw) and we will not have the good defense of this season next. Add that to our incapability to score and it looks like we're ****ed

Mind you Colbeck is one hell of a player, best find of the season and young Brown. Maybe just maybe but not with Todd, he is too limited in tactics.:D
Just got me rose tinted glasses on and a tin or 2 of Stella helps as well:p

Could have been better this season i think. A bit of luck and a more adventurous manager. It's no surprise to me our form improved with the introduction of the young lads which Todd seemed reluctant to do. Maybe if they had played a bigger part in the season we could have pushed for the playoffs.

A little negative there. We're only losing 1 defender. Bower can move back to central defence with Wetherall and Edghill will be back. It might not work great to begin with but they'll gel again.
I think we should have a look to see what Todd does in the summer before we jump to the conclusion that he's gonna sign more Pettas and and Holloways.

Totally agree with Ricketts being next to leave if someone comes in. A year left, the international with england coming up, the club will take the first bid that comes in for him. I'd be fairly surprised if hes still with us next season, especially if we're not near the top early on.
Lets face it, he probably one of a few players who we could get some money for.
