Thanks Norm.
Here you are Panth;
It was with sadness and disbelief that I read Peter Etherington’s inaccurate comments regarding the demise of the Bradford City Independent Supporters Club and the farcical Christmas Prize Draw. As a founder committee member of the BCISC, I stepped down because I felt disenchanted at the continuous shoddy and negligent attitude to Bradford City Supporters by the Football Club and didn’t have the principles to carry on being part of a group intent on helping an organisation that constantly overlooked the fair treatment of it’s biggest asset.
Any undoubted good deeds that Julian Rhodes is responsible for in the past are now being unravelled more and more by the appalling attitude and treatment dished out to the fans under his current regime. These are the same fans that on his behest went above and beyond the call of duty to raise the funds that made a huge financial contribution (contribution still not matched by certain other members of the Valley Parade Boardroom, I see) to the Club’s very survival. It seems that now we apparently have queues of so called "investors" beating a path to Valley Parade, that these supporters have served their purpose.
The BCISC was a very useful fund raising tool whose loyalty and commitment to go that extra mile to Bradford City have now been sadly lost and overlooked by people within the club. I cannot believe that these so called shrewd business men appear not to be bright enough to know a gift horses mouth when they see one. With these people at the helm, then I’m afraid the outlook for the future of our football club remains very bleak indeed.
Ernie Wilson (BCISC Chairman) is a fair and genuine man. He has never had no other motive for all the hard work and sacrifice he’s made for Bradford City F.C and it's ungrateful owners over the last year and a half, other than to see the Football Club thrive on and off the pitch. Those of us lucky enough to know him personally realise, that whatever the line on this whole sorry affair is from within the Ivory Tower at Valley Parade, that if Ernie says something happened a certain way, then that’s the way it actually happened.
Where the BCISC and its demise is concerned, there are individuals at Valley Parade who should hang their heads in shame. They have lost an organisation willing to help with the workload and help raise funds which are in short supply. In turn the supporters have lost the only organisation for fans affiliated to the club with no agendas other than to make following Bradford City F.C a more pleasant one.

I meant every word too. What's interesting is that they've printed the full unedited version despite it being well above than the requisite 200 Words. It must be a subject matter the T&A thinks worthy of public consumption, which cannot be a bad thing for those of us sick of the treatment of fans from within Valley Parade. If the letter makes just one reader think about the rubbish we have in the boardroom at Valley Parade right now, then it'll have been worth sending it in.

Excellent letter, Dave. Points well made and the Club ought to takje note, buit I'd rather not see a defensive reaction through the media - surely one lesson they learn from the BCISC debacle is that it is dangerous to get into turf war with your fans in the media.
Re the unediting they are actually pretty good at the T&A if your letter has a point to it, and yours clearly does. If you'd have rambled on about inane nonsense then I'd have expected a small 40-worder, but yours was a well-put letter with some very pertinent points.

I don't agree with some of the stuff you come out wit Chucks, particularly the hostility towards certain people at VP but your letter hit home where it should in the right way and if it does provoke a positive response from the club particularly in the clubs attitude and PR towards its fans, i will congratulate you for it. I feel progress could be made this way rather than public ranting and raving against the board who are likely in such events to just ignore fans completely. This sort of letter in the pressreaches more fans and heightens everyones awareness of the clubs shortcomings towards the fans

Its one letter..If people feel the same way they should continue to write the club or papers...
Very rarely can one voice make a difference without backing...
I dont agree with some things you have written or how some of it is worded but i give you credit for backing your own views up in the public forum...
Will it make a difference bt itself???? I doubt it...
Could it make a difference if backed up by others ???? Very likely
Will a large enough following of city back you up????? See BCISC!!!!

you are part of the apathy as well though Tony and me , we all are as we allow ourselves to be dragged along by the powers that be.

you are part of the apathy as well though Tony and me , we all are as we allow ourselves to be dragged along by the powers that be.
Or we just see things differently...
Ones mans view no matter how much they say form the basis of fact Wisey..
The way some go on about how badly managed or run the club is we seem to be doing ok...
Some are dragged along by the lies and misguided notions of posters who have nothing but opinions on events at the club..
So many sources and sweeping statements on here with no foundation of truth or evidence to back them up...
It is far too easy to slate the club and throw out a line or two toscore points knowing that the easily led will bite and join in...
I slated JR after entering admin for the second time....Demanded him to go because of the evidence showing that due to a bun fight between two owners the club nearly folded...
Now we are heading in the right direction again and things are looking ok ...Im sure 4 or 5 posts will folow telling us it is all lies but fact is we are getting stronger the right way...
We do not spend what we do not have... That was the failure of the past and the reason so many other clubs are on the tightrope we once was...
I will not join the bandwagon just because one or two start stories up that the brothers grim would have been unable to sell...

Apathy has dripped down from The powers that be via the management, via the players to the fans.
If we had people in place in the boardroom that had the know how to make the club more attractive, then the knock on effect would reach the fans. When the clubs owners make the effort, the fans will follow.
What we have now as acceptable by Rhodes and co is mediocrity, they have to break that mold for the rest to fall into place. I for one do not think they are bright enough or capable enough, which is why I have such a downer on them. All Rhodes does at present is bumble along hoping our luck will change for the better. He has to realise you have to go out put the graft in and make your luck.

Dave, whilst i appreciate Julians effort for saving the club and the opinion on fat GR is low......as you suggest i would have Richmond back any day of the week ahead of the people we have in charge....regardless of wether he is a 'crook' or not.

I drive past VP quite often during the week and you can not fail to see the difference. The place is starting to Buzz. This deserves credit, The season ticket prices for the up coming campaign are some of the best in our league, and there is a good take up. this deserves credit. Anyone noticed the greater priority given to our youth policy which is starting bear fruit. This deserves credit.an input of 2.5 million over three years doesn't seem to please many but it should ensure our future and deserves credit.Of course you dot need to look to hard to see fault. But i think there are plenty of grounds for optimism and it would not go amis to give credit as well as stick when it is deserved.

The 2.5 Mill over three years keeps us going. We have every right to expect more than being "kept going" and have every right to expect the personalities tasked with running the club to get their finger out and do something rather than expect us to attend games come what may. As a "stayaway" I expect to see something to encourage me to pay my hard earned to come to VP, there is nothing that will at the present, and because it's "buzzing" down at VP (maybe they have a wasps nest in one of the floodlights??) during the week, isn't enough.

Chuckles you know they are getting it right mate....
The money ...New money is coming into the club which in turn will interest more money...We are a viable option again...You know that too...
It has taken long enough for the trust to come back after the mis management of the two admins on local and outside businessess..
Time and hard work is healing that old rift...The future is looking bright..Slowly but surely...

I don't know they are getting it right at all. I have not seen any area that effects people paying money to watch the games that has improved even since Etherington came to the club. The fact they have a few people renting offices and they are bending over backwards to get a ferw locals from Manningham in the ground has no bearing on me and others more interested than the actual football side.

Most people JR included have put money in for love of the club. There is not much money to be made in football. Unfortunatly in my opinion he is not cut out for it and i think he realises it. Thats why i think he has brought Peter Etherington in. This guy i firmly believe thinks he can make money, and at the same time bring successto the club

I never said that Pete. I said we have a right to expect more in the way of them putting in the effort to put things right. As it stands if they need some money, they fleece the supporters.
Shouldn't you be in Cardiff by now anyway??:p
