I hope Turd has a few "Irons in the fire" regarding signing a holding midfielder for the Forest game?...I haven't heard owt on the "grapevine" about any more players coming in before Saturday:rolleyes: ...but you never know in footballtup:

BMW & Schumacher/Penford or whatever may be OK at home versus the weaker teams but away from home or against quality opposition, a holding midfielder can make the difference;) ...Wonder what Lee "Zidane" Crooks is doing on Saturday?:rolleyes: :D

No, He's a right back/ midfieldertdwn: tdwn: hopefully he will be either/or the two dont mix as we have learnt with two of our worst players in recent years!!

Lee Crooks and Peter Atherton both were billed as that and were both shite in both positions!!tdwn:

Always a first time but......

I was hoping we would be bringing in a midfielder who could make a difference / an impression on games. Tackle, distribute and score the odd goal. Perhaps this was planned - but finances will not allow this at the moment.

It has been a while since we have seen a BCFC midfield dominate the vast majority of a game.

So, he plays defence and midfield...what sort of position in midfield do you think he'd play then? I'd assume a fairly defensive one...
Oh, and right back/midfielder doesn't mix? Simon Francis would disagree.

I think Doyle can play central midfield as well, otherwise there was really no point in signing him - we have 2 right backs and plenty of right midfielders at the club. He also plays defensive mid on football manager.
Then again, this could all be wrong.
