1 up and looking the part at the top level of footy...

Normal form resumes with Gerrard going missing...

Fowler and Bellamy with Crouch on the bench ...The rest of the Prem must be shitting itself....

Who would of thought an England Vice Captain diving again....

Dirty scouse bastards....

He dived? Looks like he just rode the challenge and stumbled. Apparently the penalty was given because of the intention of fouling and not because there was a foul.

Not a penalty for me but certainly no dive, get your facts straight

There was no contact whatsoever...He went down only after he hit the ball like a girl got straight up and claimed a pen...

Delayed dive and a cheating scouse tw@t.....

Which ever way you look at it, it wasn't a pen and he cheated his way to it...
Great example to kids...

BTW Sanji , shouldn't you be on the other thread telling us how the police are just scaremongering over those scum terrorists????

I bet Jose' is shitting like a shiting dog on that performance......pmsl.....:D

Bizarre decision not to have some of his supposed "big guns" in the squad, obviously resting em for the champs league, but they haven't the quality that Man Utd and Chelsea have in depth to do that - someone should maybe tell nice guy Rafa that......Fowler weren't good enough at L**ds and Man City - so how the feck he's gonna do owt in a supposed title challenging team seems bizarre - he was **** today, sad really cos he did used to be a legend - like his mate McManaman he should stick to his property and gee-gee's - he's lost his footy powers!!

Was a deff Pen. The ref gave an adequate explanation at full time. There was intent and minimum contact, ergo a nailed on Pen.

I've said all along Sheff Utd will stay up this season and on that performance they'll have no worries. Warnock is a great addition to the Premier League and will continue to show up and get up the noses of the so called better bosses.

As for Chelsea shitting themselves, I seem to remember they got played off the park by Wigan in last season's opening game and they still stuttered to the title did they not. Only a fool would write any teams chances off after one game....

There was no contact...Come on Chuckles watch the football for once...If he gave one for that none event why not for all the pushing and shirt pulling in the box???

50 English Pounds says Liverpool do not win the League chuckles...

There was contact and intent. That's why the ref gave it. It was a harsh but fair penalty. Watch the replay on Match of the day. Gerrard had no reason to dive, he was still in posession of the ball. I feel sorry for The Blades, but they conceded a Penalty fair and square.

I never said Liverpool would win it, just that it's not a one horse race again. If the season'd have stretched another three weeks last season it'd have been Man Yoos. If I was to have a vet at the bookies this season, I'd not pick Chelsea, so how about a bet that Chelsea won't win it.

Whilst on the subject of bets Mr Dee, is our 50 Quid Crouch or Heskey League goals on or what?? You went a bit quiet on the subject on the back of Crouch's recent good form.

There was no contact chuckles..But i wil watch MOTD ...Just in case the 20 or so sky cameras failed to pick up the touch you say happened....

ITV news and Beeb both reckon there was no touch either???? Go figure that...But i will watch MOTD none the less...

Why would i bet on Chelsea....??????? That gives you around 5 other clubs to sly the Premiership title....

How about Shevchenko the has been to out score Rooney Crouch ???

Or Lampard to outscore Gerard????

The Heskey bet with you is of course on....Why wouldnt it be...???

He should get used to being on the bench cos that my friend once Dirk diggler and Bellamy start together will be where the big feller will stay...

The beginning of the end is already here for him at Liverpool... Unless Rafa fooks over Dirk Diggler like he did Cisse and ruin the game of Morienties...

How many bad buys has he made now..All i here is you slating the failures of Jose when Rafa bins more no hopers each week...Even the guys he swaps the no hopers for turn out to be duds...

So whats the Shevchenko has been bet then for this season??? Do not go shy on me now Chuckles..

I thought you were ready to bet me the Blades would get less points than Blunderland did last season T? ...As for the penalty decision, fooking joke IMOtdwn: ...If the refs gave a penalty for "intent" then every game would surely have over ten penalties ffs???headtap:

How many bad buys has he made now..

Just one, Morientes. Cisse was already on his way in when Rafa signed. Jose is the king of bad buys mate. You know it and everyone does, not only poor players, but inflated prices too. Thank god Claudio had a bit of savvy before him eh?

So whats the Shevchenko has been bet then for this season??? Do not go shy on me now Chuckles..

I dunno, talk to me. What about he won't score twenty+ league goals or Henry will get more???

awwww Chuckles is that the best you can do...

You have him down as a fooking no hoper way past his best.... He won't score more than Henry...Well how brave of you...

Any bet says he outscores Rooney???

Chelsea will not win the title ...Once again how fooking big of you..

I bet Chelsea finish higher than Liverpool ...

You love Rafa and claim him to be the genius that lucky Jose isn't...He has the squad he set up now...

BTW... His poor buys Rafas that is don't make me embarress you yet again Chunky...

On the Chelsea subject, the squad is just unbelieveable. It would probably beat all national squads on a good day. The only thing Jose has to do is stop them from falling out with one another.

I don't know who will be going down. I reckon sheff utd will be down there scrapping against the drop, but I suspect it will be very open amongst about 8 clubs.

tony d
19th August 2006, 06:43 PM
Southgate will take Boro down..... IMHO..

Bit too early to tell about runners and riders at this stage re going down...But i reckon 8 teams like you mate could be in the mix...

I think Fulham, Wigan, Bolton and Charlton won't be a million miles off the bottom - and Man City.......Sheff Utd, Watford and Reading are lucky in that there's other **** in the division, i still reckon all three will go down though - Watford will have just a **** a points total as last time they went down IMO....
The big boys have got better and the 2nd and 3rd tier have got worse IMO.....there's a huge gap between the achievers and wannabee's now!
Lucky for Villa that they've got a decent manager and some brass to spend - they'd have been down for sure had it stayed as it were, if they spend some coin at the next transfer window they could and should take their place back in the top six!!.....this season will be a season too early though!!

I don't think Schevcenko is crap. Far from it. However, I do believe he's not the player he was, if he was he'd still be at the San Siro. I also believe that only a fecking idiot, fortunate enough to be able to manage a team like he's playing a computer game would Pay 30 Million quid for a player in decline, who has seen the chance of a final big payday.

Rafa, Fergie, Arsene, O'Neill, Jol, Allardyce, Jagger, all better coaches than what Chelsea have got, all would improve Chelsea and would clean up all in their path given the advantages Mourinho has. On the flipside Jose wouldn't improve their teams a jot without the chequebook or blind support of Roman.

You Jose Cockmunchers really have got it bad haven't you. I wonder what excuses you'll dish out when he collects his P45 after Chelsea's traditional early Champion's League exit in March.

Jose doesn't need any excuse, if he fails I suspect he will have no choice but to go. But then he will be replaced by the best manager in the world.

Martin O neil is better...???

Oh yeah i remember Celtic winning that Waffer Cup then O'Neil taking Celtic to Champions League glory the following season...

No sorry that was JM at Porto.... Dont tell me they were lucky , it wasn't his team...Spawn lucky, players wonit not him blah blah blah...

Didn't manure out spend everyone pre JM year after year.. Buy players just to stop others and benching them???????? How long did it take Fergie to win the Champs League?????

But if JM went to Manure, Arsenal or even Liverpool he would be just as good as those already there..

Big Sam better tut tut tut...Jagger pmsfl...What about Strachen he must be too..Look what he has achieved with Saints Coventry and Celtic too...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

On a par i would give you Arsene due to his ability to other people rubbish and turn em into legends whilst spending small ....and Rafa cos of his ability to win cups ... But the others fpmsfl at YOU....

Get fooking real

If Mourhino is so good, how come he's spent over £26M on three fullbacks yet insists on playing a centre-half at right back and trying to sign Ashley Cole for £20M+?

I admire what he did at Porto on a shoestring budget, but without Romans billions I doubt whether he would have had as much success at Chelsea. Being in a position to buy someone for £6M, £7M and £13M and simply write it off without a care in the world when they fail and go looking for a replacement must pish the other PL managers off no end.

Martin O neil is better?

He'll make Lerners 50 Mill go a lot lot lot further than The Chosen one makes Romans Squillions go. Every single one of the Prem Teams with money to spend this close season has bought far more wisely than Jose has.

Do you fancy him more with the short hair, or did you like him a little more Bouffant?love:

Chuckles it's you who sounds like his spurned lover ..I rate him as a manager ..You are obsessed with him and all that is Chelsea in a manner that only shows itself when someone mentions JR...

Now i said before your hate for the Rhodes family must of being lack of tipping on your paper round....

So what is it with JM....Agghhh yes he is the man who pissed all over your beloved Celtic...Tarnishing the only chance the ickle Irish man and his hooped fookwits had to win owt...jump: jump:

The Chelsea thing is merely because he is there as manager...tdwn:

Your issues are quite sad Chuckles....

Why do you always go back to the " you must be gay" thing... I keep reminding you ...Your the one who lives with his mummy still.... How manly....

BTW hope you watched MOTD...I did....

Do you want me to tell you exactly where it states that in the LOAF...

Law of association Football to you my rotund friend.........

But what does no contact and no deliberate attempt to foul mean to you?????

I'mm sure whilst i'm away you can make something up..It's been fun these last two days i had actually forgotten the shite you wrote...

Keep up the lies mate..Apart from being a Tony Blair lover are you actually his chief spin doctor?????

I'm undecided, it really is a 50/50 call. But having seen the incident I can confirm, that...

'Who would of thought an England Vice Captain diving again....'

'Dirty scouse bastards....'

'There was no contact whatsoever...He went down only after he hit the ball like a girl got straight up and claimed a pen...'

'Delayed dive and a cheating scouse tw@t.....'

'Which ever way you look at it, it wasn't a pen and he cheated his way to it...
Great example to kids...'

Is, without doubt, complete and utter bolliox!

Regardless of whether there was contact or intent, Gerrard tried his damnedest to stay on his feet and score a goal during what was a bloody good goal scoring opportunity. Everything that followed was down to the referees interpretation of the incident.

All I will say on the matter is that the Liverpool penalty was more of a penalty than the one awarded to Everton.

Was a definite Pen.Gerrard had more to gain staying upright.

Makes you wonder if those that claim to be qualified refs on here aren't giving it a bit of the Walter Mitty's......

Tut tut Chuckles....

So every fair missed tackle with no contact will show a ref blowing then...That is what you are saying isn't it? Think about that the next time you watch a match Chuckle every missed tackle with no contact is a foul in you view...fpmsl

An obvious attempt to play the ball , resulting in no contact whatsoever is not a foul... Thats the rules Chuckle ...Your lack of any real footbaling k owledge is amazing..

Only Alan Shearer out of the whole of the footballing community less Liverpool fans know it....

Dont tell me the hand ball at the manure/charlton game wasn't a pen then...

I suppose Ben Thatchers elbow was fair too...No way a sending off?

You mate are an idiot...

BTW do you requiRe my FA CARD number to verify..

Whilst watching the game at Valley Parade yesterday with the referee being Rob Stiles, it may confirm that it shouldn't of been a penalty last week otherwise why wasn't he refereeing a premiership game?
