Did you see his challenge on Mendes tonight?
A bloody disgrace, raising his elbow like that and plowing into him! Hopefully the FA will look at that and give him the appropriate punishment!
Mendes is staying overnight in hopital and I wish him all the best!

A bit of an understatement Ed imo, that was pure thuggery, he looked at Mendes before he connected which made it look premeditated. If you di that to someone outside Ed mansions, you'd be banged up straight away

The thing is, he can't be punished under the FA rules because the ref has already booked him for it, in the same way that Figo wasn't banned for his headbutt in the world cup. The rule needs changing though.

The FA are actually looking into it and seeing if there is a way around that rule! If he gets away with it it will be a disgrace, he clearly knew what he was doing and could've given Mendes a VERY serious injury.
Greater Manchester Police are now looking into the incident aswell so hopefully Thatcher will get what he deserves!

Bad way to go about things :o
Who's outburst was better, Thatcher or Zidane?
My vote goes to Zidane for pure humour; Thatchers was just nasty :/

Surely a fair tackle.... It was full of malice and intent so rightly so it should go unpunished...
A fair tackle with no contact is punished so ergo.........
