2 of Bristol's players have been sent down for a month (Including Captain Steve Brooker) and 1 for 2 months after a brawl.

Looks like they are going to suffer this month, especially after selling David Cotterill. Thats 4 players lost in just 2 days.

This is interesting news. Firstly it must have been quite a violent fight for prison sentences like this to be handed out. They are all first team players so we now know what Bristol will be doing with their £2m. Will the club stand by them or will they be sacked for misconduct, what should they do?

I can't help but thinking if they were premiership footballers rather than league 1 players they would have gotten away with a much lighter punishment.

The £2m will just sit in the bank as they can't sign anyone because of the transfer window.

If they do indeed decide to sack them they will have to wait until January to replace them. By then they could be in a relegation battle like last season. They haven't made the best of starts to the league either losing 3 games already.
