David James and Sol Campbell... There's the reason...Added to Harry's shrewd buys....

33 points in 15 games if you count the 20 from 10 at end of last season...

So coulld they be the big big suprise this season.....

Just saw the interview with Harry after the match and he doesn't seem convinced they'll be anywhere near the top at the end of the season. 'We'll enjoy it while it lasts' he says! I reckon he knows what his squad can do and I think that they'll be challenging for Europe at the end of the season if their form stays anywhere near this.

They remind me of Charlton when they were getting off to a flyer for a couple of seasons but fading after xmas. I wonder whether when Pompey have their bad spell whether they'll recover quicker than Charlton did. I think they've got experienced players on their side

Of course he isn't going to say "yep we will piss this league"""

40 points is his first aim ..The quicker the better...At best they will think of Europe , but if you look at their end of last season stats and their first 5 games this term their confidence will be sky high and teams will not fancy playing them...

No one expects them to be top forever but as long as Johnson, campbell primus and James continue to play well and stay fit then they should be in for a fairy tale season...
