It's coz we found a loophole (notice how I avoided the word cheat;))..

And to clear it up i never once posted spam or crap to get my points total up - i got my points legitamately - ask Ed!!....

If you do a long posting you can accrue points, which can be used to buy stuff and customize your username and other fancy stuff - check out the Vbplaza menu at the top!!

I'll hold my hands up... I found a loophole, which in practicle terms is a feature of the board so technically not a cheat but nevertheless it got me excessive points... some of which I gave away.
So as I'm not working today I'll post my way back up the rich list.:D :D

Basically the more you use the board the more points you make. That's anything from reading threads, posting and creating threads. There will be points for other things soon like Fantasy football and the lottery etc. At the moment we're just testing the system.

Thank you but what do you do with the points, i'm slowly figuring it out and have managed to bank some at a rate of 2% but i'm not sure whether that's 2% pa? i've seen that you can change your name to bold and there are other options. KK has purchased this bold name thing but his name just looks normal on my screen?

Quite a bit of fun stuff, like I sent a burger to Dr Wisey as a present. You'll be able to buy features, not all of them are listed yet. As you mentioned modifying your name using different colours, font making it glow etc. For 2000 points you can pay to become invisible while logged on to C&B. This is a one time purchase, when you choose to be visible again you'll have to pay another 2000 points to become invisible again.

By the way suggestions are welcome, if you have any idea about what you'd like to see on C&B using the points then feel free to let us know. tup:

idon't know if this has been suggested yet but my apologies if it has. firstly the games need a bit of updating as half don't work and some are a bit rubbish but points for scoring say top ten in the games not that i would have earned any points. points for belittling yeadon ....... no that's too easy. hmm i'll have a think.

Now I understand, that in all fairness, you can't allow users to gain points surreptitiously but if Baldbantam was to take away everyones points because of others discretion's… I'd say

I've already tried to post hamlet, you can only post a max of a certain amount of characters at a time and you can't duplicate posts :D Thank god.

You would temporarily gain some points until we noticed and then took all your points away from you for cheating.

phew ! It took me three pages to get to the answer I was looking for.

I knew I had banked some points this morning just in case wykie was around and then when I logged on just now they had gone and now it wont let me bank points at all ! Ive tried twice and it throws me off the site and says C&B has encountered a database error !!!!

oh well !

This is still being bedded in and people are just going to have to accept that until we have got it right any points or prizes bought should be regarded as temporary and liable to disappear at any point, either individually or wholesale.

I think this is quite a fun feature, and will certainly enhance my enjoyment on this site!
Being a regular it was quite dull before but now it is perking into a top notch site, with more relaxed rules it seems and a lot more posts per day!
