She can't continue to live her life while it is dominated by her son's murder. Yes it was an awful thing to happen, but British justice (as good as that is) has been served on the perpetraitors. Tracking them down only brings back the awful memories for her.

I never said they are reformed, nor do I agree that they should be walking the streets after what they did, but I don't think it is good for the wellbeing of the mother to be tracking them down.

Sweetcakes, a different discussion is whether you actually think that a 10 year old child can be entirely responsible for its actions and indeed be "evil" as you describe them. At what point does a person attain sufficient maturity to know the difference between right and wrong to the extent that the law decrees it? Maybe that is the debate to be had.

Speaking as a mother myself, I cannot begin to comprehend what she is feeling or going through but, like Norm says, if it were one of mine, then I'm damn sure I would be doing more than stalking.

Even though it won't bring her Son back, it is clearly the thing she feels she has to do.

I can't believe it's 17 years since this happened, it seems like the other week and, if that's how I feel, imagine how she is feeling.

Don't buy newspapers. To be fair I have only seen 2 stories of late, this being one and then the more recent one where Venables has been imprisoned. There are ways to move on which will allow her to at least be able to deal with the anger, grief and any other associated emotion she has with the trauma she went through. She may never fully move on, but finding and seeing the perpetrators to me seems an odd way to deal with it.

At the age of ten serial killers normally start torturing insects then in their teens they move up to torturing and killing household pets and then in adulthood they do what they do.

These horrible little creatures tortured and murdered an innocent two year old toddler straight up.

Thats a pretty feeble argument SFB, why should she change her lifestyle to accommodate the activities of the 2 scumbags that took her son from her. Show the woman some compassion for her loss that she clearly will never get over whilst yet again, the victim is forgotten but the perps are given a new life.
